Teams will come to Princes Park and get a lot of men behind the ball and play on the break and if they score first we could be in for a frustrating afternoon especially when accompanied by a poor referee. Perhaps Luke Wanadio could have unlocked the Tonbridge defence? we looked better when we played with width. Superb goal by Jack.
Quite a number of posters saying we didn’t play with width. We did, Bagashan was meant to play that role but was so ineffective there nobody noticed. Some would also notice that we’ve been playing with a wide player on the right this season (Wannadio or Leonard) and that’s worked superbly. Wynts has been excellent down the right too with a player ahead of him - yesterday he looked isolated going forward. My question - why the need to change a winning formula?

Re: TONBRIDGE ANGELS (H) SAT 11TH SEP 3PM

So back to yesterday’s game…..
Interestingly, SK changed the point of attack for this one from right to left. Bagashan was ineffective down the left and Wynter so exposed with no outlet ahead of him. We also looked leggy in midfield IMO. A point gained/saved given that Tonbridge played well if a little negative, helped out by a vastly superior free-kick count awarded to them by a completely inept ref.
Agree that our back 4 plus Wilksy were upstanding defensively. Strikers not firing yesterday, and that’s a first this season!
Onto the next - still top! COYD

Couldn’t make yesterday’s game 🥲 and can’t wait to get to PP on Saturday. Followed the game on Twitter (very nervy the last 20 minutes, but GP’s goal settled me down!) Thanks to Kev as always for the goal clips.

Re: Eastbourne Borough (H) Mon 30th Aug 3pm

My god, lively on ‘ere init? I’ve seen all four games and in the 5 seasons I’ve supported the Darts this has, by far, been the best team I’ve watched. Kingy clearly wasn’t happy with the teams performance in the second half yesterday and, as he said, he sets the team such high standards.

As I said after the win at Dulwich on Saturday, consistency will be the key throughout this season, that’s not just from game to game, but across the 90 minutes too. That’s not meant as any sort of criticism - how could anyone criticise after a 100% start to the season. All I can say is that there’s more to come from this team and it’s going to be very exciting!

Re: Dulwich Hamlet (A) 28th August 3 P.M

Great start to the season and many on here would agree that we have a squad of players capable of winning the League let alone getting promotion through the play-off’s. Stating the obvious though - consistency will be key. There are no easy games on n this League (though we can make them like easy with the way we play!!) so one game at a time and we’ll see where this campaign takes us. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s game and what that might bring. COYD

Re: Sloff (H) 21st August 2021 3 P.M

Talking of yesterday’s attendance, still the biggest in out division which probably illustrates regular fans still away and missing their teams opening games. As for the traffic…..

To the game itself, Reggie has called it a “masterclass”. Precisely that. A simply superb all-around complete performance. But for the excellent North between the sticks for Slough we could have had 5, 6 or more. Noor yesterday btw - different class!

I’ll be there, can’t wait. Will Robbo start against his former club, that’s the question. There loads of goals in our front line though.

Re: St Albans (A) Sat 14th August 2021

Superb day out even though train cancellations made the journey there a “tad difficult”. Excellent performance all round if a little laboured in the second half until Robbo turned the game on its head. Can’t wait for Saturday when Slough come to Town.

As there seems to be a bit of criticism for St Albans in here, this ones from me - no programme and that is piss poor!

A little hoarse today lol.

Agree with everything Reg has said there! Squad looks total quality with some proper strength in depth. The squad would certainly be enhanced with the return of Darren McQueen - come on Darts, let make it happen. Can’t wait for the season to start now!
