What's wrong with a driving license? It has a date of birth on it.

If I can add my thanks to those of Dorset Dart, us exiles need the forum to keep us on-side with info and opinions, and you've provided that brilliantly down the years. Thanks again Gaz. All the best. COYD

So we go in at half time 1 - 0 up. Azeez on the stroke. COYD
Ebbsfleet 4 - 0 to the good against hapless Tonbridge and Hampton & R 3 - 0 at Eastbourne (though it's one- each on red cards).
Sounds like we're playing well at St. Albans.
Correction: The Hampton pen has been erased'

And I thought they could/should have had several players sent off for violent conduct, e.g. for stamping on Grealish's leg and for nearly strangling Saka, etc.

Re: 2021/22 Season
Well, just a few hours to the release of our fixtures for 2021/22. The long wait will soon be over. I must say I can't wait. It will be good to see the old faces on the half way line again and to find out just how good the squad is.

Re: The playing squad for next season
I pretty much agree with all of that, Ken. The revolving doors of players last year did little to maintain overall team performances.
Nevertheless, as well as a quality striker (or two), I think we need a dominant, creative presence in midfield who can dictate play and just make things happen. I doubt that SK will find another Eliot Bradbrook, but someone of that ilk would make the team much more effective and threatening.
But I suppose that's what every manager is searching for.

I was privileged to be able to say farewell to my friend, Roger, today. Saturday home games will never be the same. RIP mate.

Re: 2021/22 Season
I was going to keep out of this debate, but I think The Duke is right on this. There needs to be a major shake up if we want to challenge for the title next season. Last season's squad lacked the ability and flair that the 2019/20 lot possessed. The way things were going, we might well have missed the play offs - though I know it's not always easy to judge when there are no crowds and you're watching games through a laptop screen. I do know that I didn't get very excited by the teams we put out most weeks. So major changes to come (I hope).
To Trevor B. Hope to see you and the lads at the round table in August, all being well. Barry B

Re: National League North and South season declared null and void
And having watched the Leicester v Arsenal match this afternoon, I shall forever be grateful that we will never have to endure the crap that is called "VAR" at our level. Does anyone genuinely think this nonsense actually contributes to the enjoyment of watching football?

Re: National League North and South season declared null and void
Well there we are then. No blame should be attached to our club. We are the victims of a democratically flawed voting system. But the season did seem to be disintegrating week by week. We just need to wait and see how things pan out. I don't expect (or want) a refund for my 2020/21 season ticket and I will apply for a new one for next season, whatever or whenever that looks like.FlowerPot wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 10:28 am Statement from the DFC Board
