Haven’t listened to SK’s post match interview yet, but am hoping that he explains the right wing selection and would be very respectful if he accepts incorrect selection. I actually felt that 1K got himself into good positions to receive the ball in the first half, but his touch occasionally let him down and there seemed to be no consideration beyond crossing when he did get the ball under control.
Speaking to John Pugh after the game, he passed comment that our 4 (Husin) and 8 (Murtagh) were totally ineffectual and that our team was crying out for a Noble and a Bradbrook. Of course, Noor had the game of his life last time out at PP, but I must admit to waiting for Murtagh to shine.
Glad that the unbeaten run continues and to be fair, Tonbridge were alright. Ref was a total breast though.

Re: RIP Malcolm Eames
Wasn’t it Malcolm who slipped down the bank at Alfreton too?
My apologies if it wasn’t..
Real cracking character, Flying Boat mainstay and Paper Moon before that. Had a ‘Waldorf & Statler’ type curmudgeonly way. Total hoot and good egg all round, he’ll leaves a big hole in both the DFC and local community.
RIP Malc

Been dragged to the Jurassic coast this weekend in search of Noor, Jack and McQueens’s penalties (looks like they’re still up there somewhere) and it took us about five hours with a stop yesterday. I hope the roads are more forgiving for the travelling faithful today.

Re: Pure DFC Announcement - Gary C stepping down
Totally understand any trepidation taking this on. I wouldn’t have the first idea about any of it, so very well played you. Really grateful.
DFC forum is the only ‘social media’ outlet I use, would be a great shame to lose it. So please, let’s make it as easy as we can for Rick, he’s no personal gain to make and so is doing it purely for the benefit of the DFC community.
Thanks again.

“I’m not gonna lie”
“To be truthful with you”
“I really respect their play acting and time-wasting. Not just saying that, I really do!”
He is a psychologist’s dream.

Re: Eastbourne Borough (H) Mon 30th Aug 3pm
Bit like Dulwich on Saturday where the first half performance pretty much sealed the deal, but things got tricky in the second as we took our foot off the gas a bit and invited some pressure.
Defensively though, we soaked it up professionally and slowly regained control. As others have recognised, SK made the right substitutions at the right time to kill off any hopes Eastbourne had and other results went favourably, so the table is looking great at this early stage. Perfect start and good times ahead!

Wish I was able to share my sausage roll bulge around, but sadly we are anatomically inseparable
