Re: TONBRIDGE ANGELS (H) SAT 11TH SEP 3PM

Starting 11 seemed wrong today with no real wide players in the team, we seemed ready to fight it out with a solid Tonbridge team instead of trying to out play them, even the bench seemed wrong without Robinson and Hyde on it, let’s hope next week we concentrate on our own game. It’s got to be 2 points dropped today.

Great win yesterday, I left a jacket on a chair behind the goal car park end, if anybody picked it up would be nice to get it back. 🙏

Re: Weymouth - Promotion Final - 1pm Saturday

Very close game yesterday with us controlling it for long periods but with them just having the better chances, as someone that was lucky enough to be at the ground I can tell you that everybody there from from the directors, the management team and all the players were devastated by the result and how the pens turn out, it seemed that there was more pressure on the pens with no fans and the players on the halfway line able to here the commentators speaking as the pens were taken, I am convinced 100% that the club will do everything they possible can to get us promoted as champions next season, it’s going to be another great adventure next season, hopefully with us all able to watch the games live.

Re: DFCSA donate minibus to Academy

Great news that the minibus has arrived, will save the club money in time, as for the fun raising that DFCSA do, it’s the race night after the game against Chelmsford on Saturday starting 18.00-18.30 be good to see as many people there as possible even if you cannot stay for all the evening.

Re: Concord Rangers (A) - 14th August 18

First game that I have seen since the end of preseason, first thing I would say is why did we spend so much time looking for wingers and playing 442 preseason if we are not going to play that formation, on to the game they caught us cold after 3 mins with Alex taking a chance to shoot on site, don't think Del had any chance to save it really. For most of the first half and most of the second half we then had most of the ball without working there keeper and our best chance of scoring was going to be from a set piece,
Found it strange that Philpot did not even come on for 20 mins when we needed a change upfront, it seemed in open play that when we had the ball instead of looking for a pass to many players just tried to run with the ball with 3-4 concord players chases them down and no support from any team mate.
