At the end of the season before last we finished equal top on points, scoring loads more goals than anyone and had good cup runs, only a hooky game and a shootout saw us not get promoted - but the moaners shouted it wasn't good enough, couldn't get any worse and TB had to go - so he did

Constant whining and criticism does get people down and demoralise them and affects performance and results, if you don't understand that you don't understand much.

Well, this time last year you all said it was right to change and after a poor start we should give the new manager(s) who are here because of you moaners a go.

So here we are again, more of the same all round. Let's face it, if you've been moaning for ten years you won't stop ever so well done in helping turn a feared team into a laughing stock, may as well give them another go, you'll keep slagging them anyway.

Maybe it wasn’t clear what some meant by change. To have the departing manager as director of football, listen to his podcast, and with the say TB has in quite a few things added with that 2 Dartford old boys hired who didn’t do that great at their old clubs. This is not the change that some asked for. For me TB would be better in the hot seat but change was meant a fresh change, with a manager making his own decisions with out the clubs appointed director of football
Spot on....OBC is really holding the Club back.I went against St Albans and the place felt soulless, crowds going down NO direction. And on field a one man team.....AC!

Re: Saint Albans Tuesday 6th August

Hard to judge much last night about this season.New players in team, some injured to also come into side.
Liked the look of Allen and thought that Cunnington really lead the line well....won a lot of flick ons and very vocal..like a Captain for the forwards!
Defence looked shaky at times...but seemed to have a bit of pace up front.
But also I thought the lose of Bradbrook really showed....a leader that will really effect the team this season IMHO.
Looks like a very open League this season, but whether the Darts will be challenging up top is debatable?

Quite right. This OLD boys Club thing is just boring.

tommytollbooth wrote:What more can you say we had an off day which was summed up by Haysie who didn't have his crossing boots on they were overhit and all seemed to drift out of play. Hampton were obviously up for it and didn't let us settle but their time wasting which started early in the first half made the game as enjoyable as a visit to the dentist. We were better when Darren McQueen came on with his pace upfront. On the plus side we got a draw when we could have easily lost but now we are looking over our shoulder at Wealdstone who are coming on strong and Chelmsford keep winning and I suspect they will finish 3rd.
Off day????
Darts have had plenty this season, thats why so few goals have been scored and attendances down.
