I haven't seen 6 teams better than you. We are rubbish as well, only got Murphy who's any good going forward and he's far too good for this level.Capricorn25 wrote:No need to patronise my friend? we know how good we can be and also how bad we have been this season, your clear chances were the result of a diabolical attempt to clear the ball for the first goalccfc1010 wrote:We were awful for 85 minutes and took our only two clear chances. Your back 4 capitulated after the equaliser and a winner was always coming, but you surely can't praise either centre half yesterday no matter how good for 85 mins they left 3 unmarked for the winning goal. Bonner is supposed to be the experienced head and has always been a liability when I've seen him.
You weren't as bad as some sides even above us, you were better than Bath who beat us. We were missing 2 key players but dug deep. Both sides will be playoffs and neither will go up, in my opinion.( albeit a cracking finish for the goal), and a comedy of errors for the second? This has been the story of our season, so nothing new…
You won the game; we move on to the next match!!! PLAY-OFFS ???????????? WE WILL SEE?

As I say, we got the best programmes in the league as well (officially), right now we can't change our ground but we do our best with what we have available.SKennedyDFC wrote:Ground may be shit but the burgers are awesome.ccfc1010 wrote:Well he wouldn't have a choice for the same one when he wasn't offered a contract. Re: Retained List 2018/19 & New Signings
As I say, I supported him 100% when he put my teams shirt on, I personally did rate him BUT towards the end of the season he looked uninterested and proved he's not good enough if you want promotion. My opinion.Capricorn25 wrote:ccfc1010 wrote:Oh wow, who'd have thought massive old Dartford would sign a Chelmsford reject who scored the majority of his goals from the penalty spot, potentially as an Alfie Pavey replacement!
He is a decent player on his day but unfortunately only showed it about twice last season, once against you away when he came on and changed the game and scored (shock) a penalty to level it. He also got sent off against you at home.
Lazy player won't be any good 1 up front and you need a hard working striker next to him
Glad you rate him then![]()

Re: Retained List 2018/19 & New Signings
I personally rated him whilst everyone else hated him. I supported him every game when he wore the shirt as I do every player. As I say, he's good on his day but unfortunately his day doesn't come enough, if you can get the best out of him it's a good signing but I can't see that. 33 appearances 10 goals says a lot for me and I'm sure there's a reason he wasn't offered a new contract.Ozymandias wrote:Alfie Pavey is no Jason Prior. Good luck to him. As for Kudos, our signings are not exactly setting the place alight or filing me with expectations. Still, the Chelmo crowd seem to be having more fun on here than we are. Sour Grapes??
Who knows? They obviously have first hand experience of the guy.
