I saw John a few months ago in Sainsburys Crayford, just before the Slough play off game. He saw me and came straight over for a chat and boy could he talk. I will always remember him at Cambridge when we went up there and won. He was banging on the corrugated sheeting at the back of the stand with the rest of us as we celebrated the win.
He was a human encyclopaedia of Dartford and he could talk the hind legs off a donkey. For me, he'll always be Mr Dartford, such a character and genuinely nice person. Will be greatly missed. RIP John.

Re: Players in/Players out 2020-2021
Impressive signings to say the least, but you wouldn't expect anything less from Mr King. Even before these signings, I'd expect Dartford to be among the favourites.

NLP thinner than normal, but some good articles nonertheless. I'd say a good read still. I'll support the paper by buying it during these troubles times, i hope other people will do the same. As for Dart' Messenger, can't help you on that one.

My first visit to PP this season and very impressed with what i saw. Some hungry, quick players, who were always looking for the ball. 10 goals scored, none conceded and maximum points over the festive period. Doesn't come much better than that.

My first game since the Tonbridge debacle. Lots of new faces on the field. Good second half, looked dangerous going forward. Need that poacher up front. Great support ! Far, far better than that dismal eve on Tonbridge.

He's available and want to get back into management asap ! Fresh face, new ideas, got Wealdstone firing again last season.

Re: Tonbridge Angels (A)
Well that was my first Darts match this season and what a shambles. They were derived of ideas and showed little or no confidence. Tonbridge won't pull up any trees this season but were certainly worthy winners. If it wasn't for MOTM Mark Smith it could have been 5 or 6.
This a shadow of the former team that i watched a couple of years ago. I can see why the forum has been in uproar lately. If it had carried on, relegation would have been a serious concern.
Catching up with a few familiar faces last eve, they all said the same thing, that it was time for the dynamic duo to go and on the way home i heard the news most people were looking for.
Dartford used to be a big fish in a small pond, but not anymore.
I really hope the board appoint a manager from outside the club this time and not take the easy option. I read last week that Ex Wealdstone manager Bobby Wilkinson was looking to get back into management after leaving last season due to family illness. I suspect they'll be a few applicants throwing their hat in the ring.
Time to move on and hopefully in the right direction.
