At last nights meet the manager Ady said he was hoping Samir would be back about two weeks into the season.

Word around the ground today was Oly and Duane are slight niggles only, nothing too serious.

Another good showing today against a decent Wood side.

First half i didn't think there was much in it but i felt in the second half they were the better side, which is to be expected.
However plenty of positives again for us as we looked organised and full of running. Also nice to see that we covered each other well with players sweeping up for each other when needed.

We made lots of changes towards the end of the game and no doubt this made it hard for the players coming on and maybe this was part of the reason for the late goals we conceded.

Three players missing today (all attacking/creative) which would be a big loss for any team but there is optimism around PP again.

Ady mentioned at the meeting Friday night that he is still looking to add to the squad and fingers crossed we may get a signing or two before the season starts. Having said that he looks to have assembled a decent squad so far but today proved with a few missing we are short on numbers.

Really looking forward to next weeks seasons opener.

Borehamwood much better test than Sutton and overall we played some good football and Ady will NOT be disappointed as in good shape for start of season providing Duane and Ollie are fit to start [ assuming Samir 2 weeks to go ], as for Marsden , shame he got injured and I really hope he is ok for next saturday as he has started to " look the part " BUT Adys friend [Jamie] at Crawley now has 3 senior goalkeepers and could easily loan us one we already know [Ryan Sanford ] for a month IF needed !!!!!!

The team looked impressive again today against a good Borehamwood side and although it ended up 0-2 it certainly wasn’t that sort of game and we fully deserved a draw. It was only because we had made so many changes towards the end where as Parklife said we had about 3 first team senior players and about 8 acadamy players including the keeper, not putting anything against the acadamy lads as they all put in a good fight it’s just Borehamwood had a lot more experience on the pitch at that time.

From what I’ve seen in the last 2 games Ady has built a very good footballing side who will run, battle & support each other all over the pitch and we can score goals as well, may be not penalties but can score goals .

Things look good for this season and I honestly think there will be a lot more highs than lows this season.

I’m looking forward a lot to this season even if Trev B & I have to miss the first 3 games as we are away in Zante.
