The Duke wrote: Tue Jun 13, 2023 12:18 am No mention of Richard Chin [ the Charlton lad] who did well for us on loan , just maybe he will be Dowse's wild card in mid July ??????
He signed a contract extension at Charlton towards the end of last season and I expect he'll be used in the pre-season games for Charlton as Dean Holden looks at the players he has available to him. If something was to happen with Chin, I'd not expect to see him back this side of Christmas, but I'd also expect Charlton to want him to play at a higher level than National League South in order to progress him.

The first signing of the window that for me is a bit questionable. I don't see this as an improvement on what we had last season.

I trust Dowse and hopefully I'm proven wrong

Dudinski was no great shakes last season and the fans favourite [Wilks] has gone , I dont see Beeneys signing as questionable as he has the pedigree [ and the size] and played 31 times for Concord last season in their [ late] spirited attempt to stay up, he will see this as his big chance so another hungry player wanting to do well , at least give the guy a chance and after a number of starts then make up your mind !!!!!!!!

At least now Dowse can concentrate on getting in a couple of proven centre backs , the [almost] last part of a quality squad !!!!

A forum is a place for opinions ,as long as there’s no agenda behind it , views should be respected. I hope Dowse has found a gem who will entertain , I hope he does have a few quid left to get the players he needs , i (singular , just my thoughts) think this is the toughest division I’ve seen in a longtime ,and a top ten finish will be a success.

Very competent keeper in my opinion based on his performance against us for Concord back end of last season.

Welcome to the Darts Mitch!

I must admit i did give him a bit of stick when we played Concord away , but not a bad keeper , big lad too & took the stick well & joked about it .
Lets give him a go & welcome him .

And your opinion is respected Lenny, just don't use predictive text. Princess??
That's the keeper sorted, welcome Mitch. Why was Ben hesitant?
Dowse is on the ball and is certainly getting his side. Now it's up to us to support them.
I agree with Lenny that it will be a lot tougher next season but then Alan has already let us know that and a lot of us agree..

Was Ben hesitant because he was waiting to see whether he gets a better offer? If so, then that would tell you all Dowse needed to know

Had a bit of good banter with MB at Concord if I recall correctly. Thought he had a decent game to be fair. Looking forward to seeing what he offers us.

And they should have interchangeable identity bracelets!
