I'm looking forward to this game, having this morning bought my rail tickets for the first time since Covid rose its head and it seems there should be no problems on the West Coast Main Line coming into Euston this weekend. Fingers crossed for that please.

Last home game of the League program, prior to the play offs and I'm hoping that by the end of the game we have guaranteed ourselves 2nd place in the league. Also hope to meet Pierre Fonkue, whose kit I have sponsored this season and hope he gets a start or comes on a a sub.

St Albans will want to make it difficult for us as they are pushing for a play off place and are likely to bring a good following given their position. Just hope we can pick up 3 points on Thursday at Concorde to make sure we don't put any added pressure on us.

Also thanks to Rick for re-introducing my Bishop of Tranmere avatar earlier in the season.

Looking forward to catching up with so many. I was sorry I was unable to accept Taunton Darts invitation to his sponsored match at PP due to Euston being closed with track work taking place over Easter.

You're quite welcome, but I added it on Thu Oct 28 2021, as I still have the PM I sent to you :D

Well, on to the next one I suppose. Last home game of the league season, hopefully we will have two more in the playoffs at PP. Who knows? Here's the preview https://puredfc.co.uk/dartford-v-st-albans-city-2

I really don't know what to expect tomorrow but based on what I have seen this season, I would start with the team below. It would have been nice to have seen the new defender, but I guess that its too late in the season to gamble now. Is he still with the club? Would also like to see Dowse give Herschell a run in the team after his nice little cameo against Tonbridge last week. Its just mind boggling why he doesn't feature more often, he is our only player capable of beating opponents for pace and poses a goal threat too.

Dudzinski

Chin Essam Bonner Meade

Odaudu

Herschell Smith Allen Coulson

Bradbury

I'd like to see how Charlie and Bradbury would go together up front

We need to find a way to win the ball in midfield rather than watch opponents run or pass past us with ease. Our final third of the pitch is under threat far too often in most matches. By the law of averages, teams will likely score some of the chances they create.

Which is why, if fit, Carruthers should start. But even he wasn't playing that great before his injury. Luke Allen alongside him and Bradbury has got to start, he knows where the goal is.
Other than that, I'm scratching my head.

Will Dowse be brave enough to go for it today with the following [ or will will he stick with his tried and trusted bottlers ] ?

Wilks
Chin Adebowale Bonner Meade
Coulson Allen Odaudu
Herschel Bradbury Sheringham

Samir is instrumental to this team. He's the only midfielder that can carry the ball with confidence and dictate the play. His fitness will be key to our success in the playoffs.

Bradbury has been fantastic since coming in, I was sceptical when first announced as he was coming from a few leagues below, but credit to those who were behind bringing him in. He works better with someone up top with him in my opinion as sometimes when on his own he does all of the hard work and struggles to get the reward for it.

I hope Charlie is fit enough to start, I'd be interested to see how him and Harvey work together. Charlie is a player that always gives 100% for the shirt and exactly what we need at this stage of the season.

I hope we can bounce back as we have done a number of times this season. Vital that we get the win now.

Stale Buns need 2/3 points to guarantee their playoff place.
This will probably come down to who wants it more, rather than out-and-out talent on the field and tactical nous.
There will be much to be decided next Saturday I suspect.

We’ve done well to go in with our lead intact. They got too close for comfort too many times in the last 20 mins of that half
