Whatever the season holds for us, promotion or not, what does concern me is the fact that all four teams that gained promotion from the North and South divisions last season, Gateshead, York, Dorking and Maidstone, all currently reside in the bottom six places of the National League. Just goes to show how I believe the standards between the leagues have widened since we were last in the National League.

On the plus side, Woking continue to give a good account of themselves, as do Bromley, Eastleigh and Maidenhead and have become established members of the NL, so there is something to hang on to, should we get promoted.

But first, we need to buckle down to winning ways again. Defeat at Weymouth didn't surprise me cos they have been putting together some improving performances in recent weeks, reading reports, even if results weren't going their way until the last 2 games. However the manner of defeat did disappoint me, but as the Liverpool 7-0 defeat of Man Utd showed yesterday evening, this game we love can be full of surprises.

My sentiments entirely Tony, but you get used to it after a while. :D
Where is the town hall? Remind me.
Last time I was in Dartford was for a show at the Orchard, I think I came in at the arse end of town. But it all looked the same. Not somewhere I recognise now.
