Fulltime 4-2 win, another good result after what sounds like not the greatest of starts. Going 0-1 down so early to manage to level at 1-1 from Dinanga then go and concede a penalty almost straight away and go 1-2 down isn’t great. Thankfully Danny Leonard levelled again before Luke Allan & Dinanga pulled us away.

Thankfully we’ve got the 3pts but drop a place as Oxford won
3-0, we are level on points now and goal difference but have a game in hand.

Keep going Darts and keep picking up those points.

I was told a hamstring injury.

Yeah. Tom said it was a hamstring and that Connor was match fit and up for it. I’m no so sure. I said to Tom that his absence might ‘cost us.’ I was right for 45 minutes. Two shocking defensive errors put Welling in a silly lead and we were up against it at 0-1 and 1-2. Was a relief to see our resilience grab a half-time ‘draw’ and then put the game well out of their reach with two ‘Worldy’ strikes. It was a superb win to follow those at Tonbridge and at home against Ebbsfleet. But there’s something, that I can’t quite put my finger on, that causes me to be a tad worried at each game. Need to tidy up some concerning sloppiness. Marcus starting to show his obvious class.

We gifted a plucky Welling team both of their goals
but credit to.the individual who was at fault he played well after that.imo.
Once we got our act together we got back into the game and two quality strikes in the 2nd half saw Welling off.
Hopefully we will learn from the the 2 "gifts" that we gave our opponents today because we won't always get away with it against the better teams.
With Dorking losing it ain't over yet.

Think it’s called the opposition! They do come here with a genuine belief they can also win!
But yes, there were fundamental errors at the back in the first half. Essam seemed to grow into the game and Kory Roberts was pretty good throughout today. Their #5 tore through our defence to win the penalty and drew out a tackle that quite simply ‘happens’ after dancing around three players.
The strike from Lou Callen (Scottish international) is surely a goal of the season contender and Dinanga’s lob was perfectly weighted. We were value for the win ultimately and the result perfectly caps off our local derby triple-header.

Looking forward to H&W under the lights on Wednesday, followed by a trip to see our old mucker Gooner Paul next weekend. Dorking slipping up makes it all tangible people, don’t cancel your Eastbourne weekends yet!

Pleased with win but we really made it difficult for ourselves giving them 2 goals . Even after doing our best to help Welling out we went in half time level with goals from Dinanga & Leonard . Apart from our gifts they never troubled us and we finished the half well on top.
Then second half and yet again we started the half so slowly and poorly. This seems to be a real worrying trend , I don’t know what goes on in the dressing room in the break but we always seem like a different side when we come back out . Welling are poor but even against them we played the first 15 minutes in our half and if they weren’t so shit we could have been punished.
When we finally woke up we took over and 2 quality strikes from Allen & Dinanga from saw them off

Enjoy the goals ,

Dinanga scores Dartford’s 1st v Welling

Leonard scores Dartford’s 2nd

Luke Allen scores Dartford’s 3rd v Welling

Dinanga scores his 2nd & Dartford’s 4th

Well that's twice in a row we've created 6 goals versus Welling, but unfortunately, of the 6 we created today, only 4 of them were at the correct end. We definitely missed Capt Bonzo's leadership and defensively we were all over the shop in the first half and gifted Welling both of their goals. For a while there, it looked like it might be a really bad day, but massive credit to our lads for twice coming from behind and in the end going on to win quite comfortably. The spirit is back and we appear to be getting mentally stronger, things are definitely on the up.

Great attendance again and phenomenal support from the young lads behind the goal again today, well behaved too. The atmosphere was brilliant and we need to keep these lads on board as this undoubtedly helps the team. Marcus Dinanga had a great game today and scored a couple of very good goals. He definitely got the crowd onboard with that performance and will probably win the MOTM vote comfortably, although personally I felt Jack Jebb ran him close.

With Dorking losing as well it made for a very good day all round. Happy days.

Pleased that we got the 3pts today and Kingys comments on the game were totally accurate , we played a lot of long ball stuff today which isnt our usual style but we won so I guess its ok , one area still amazes me is our lack of imagination at corner kicks when its " same old , same old ", long ball to the back post for either Essam/Bonner to head back across goal , surely with a " deadball specialist like Jebb " we can be more creative , old Darts fans will remember Peter Taylors creativity in the 80s , perhaps Kingy should give him a call ???

Havant will be a tough game next wedenesday , sounds like several players coming in , [hope one is a midfielder with pace and can pick a pass ]guess a few will be going out/ loans ,

The new guy Marcus scored 2 , could have had 2 more , looked a real threat and deservedly gets MOTM

Can’t wait to see who the new players are that are coming in this week, Monday should be a very interesting read.

I was a little surprised that Danny Robert’s wasn’t even listed as a sub again today, I honestly hoped that after him being listed as a sub Tuesday night and then coming on that he might be given more of a chance but obviously not.

I like Danny Roberts and he is a good prospect but the truth is he has not scored in the NLS since 1st game of the season and Kingy cant gamble that he will suddenly start banging them in again as the season is getting really serious now , I reiterate that I reckon a loan to say the Ryman Premier would allow him the chance to get his confidence back with some goals and be a real asset to us in March/April

Great weeks work! Chatting prior to the game at Tonbridge last week I felt a return of 7 points from the three games would be good but to get 9 was superb and fitting of the hard work the team must be putting in behind the scenes. Exciting few weeks ahead now - a visit to the Hawks ion Wednesday and an away trip to Suffolk next Saturday will be tough. COYDs
