Re: Dartford 2 Keynsham Town 1 - Victory takes Darts into 3rd round draw
It's 2:45 am Monday. I'm ploughing my way through a massive plate of southern fried chicken, chips and beans at Tony's Cafe in New Covent Garden. On my way back to Blackpool following the biggest result in the history of Dartford Women FC. Coach leaves Victoria at 7:30 am. Great team performance. Will stay awake to watch the third round draw live on You Tube. Then crash.

HISTORY IS MADE AS DARTS WOMEN EARN PLACE
IN THE THIRD ROUND OF THE FA CUP!
Adobe Women’s FA Cup 2nd Round, played on Sunday, 23rd November 2025.
The Adobe Women’s FA Cup returned to Princes Park this weekend as the team faced Keynsham Town LFC for a place in round three of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
The cup tie began tentatively with both sides vying to get the upper hand early on. The visitors went close early in the tie, as in the 13th minute, a free kick from Elizabeth Fogarty struck the crossbar.
The Darts grew in confidence as the first half went on and went ahead midway through the half. In the 19th minute, Mya Lewis-Powell fired home from close range to put the home side ahead in the tie.
The visitors continued to create chances and went close minutes after going behind. In the 28th minute, Brooke Stirrup got in behind the Darts defence, shot on goal well saved by Darts keeper Jade Charlton. The home side doubled the lead 12 minutes before the break. In the 33rd minute, a fine free kick from Abbey Davies nestled in the bottom corner to put the Darts firmly in control of the tie at half time.
In the second half, the Darts searched for goal number three and went close just after the hour mark. In the 62nd minute, a fine weaving run from Darts defender Georgie Davis created a good chance to seal the tie. Keynsham’s keeper was out quickly to narrow the angle and the shot found the side netting.
The home side went close again minutes before full time. In the 85th minute, Amina Hanif found Lizzie Adams in space on the edge of the Keynsham box. The shot from the Darts midfielder struck the post.
Keynsham got a goal back late in the contest. In the 89th minute, a well worked set piece saw the ball fall to Megan Bible who fired home to give the visitors a lifeline.
