Well, where do we start? Probably as early as the 6th minute when Emily Vaughan's shot from an Abbey Davies corner was well saved by the Ashford keeper.
And that was just one of a few chances before the opening goal which arrived on 10 minutes. A great effort by Amy Russ was parried away by the keeper. Emily Woodhouse was alive to it and pounced on the loose ball to fire home.
In the 28th the lead was increased when Shauni Griffiths received the ball in a central position inside the box and confidently beat the keeper with a decent strike.
On 32 mins an Abbey Davies corner found Woodhouse whose header went just wide of the far post.
Then on 34 came the goal of the game when Shauni latched on to a through ball from Russ and finished the move with an impeccably timed lob over the keeper for 3-0.
Xayla-Rae Alberts saw her shot well saved by the keeper 3 minutes later. It wasn't long before our ladies increased the lead to 4-0 going into the break. A great run by Shauni saw her cross find Georgie Davis who finished with aplomb through a well executed shot from the far side of the field.

Player of the match for me has to be Shauni Griffiths. I can see it being her year both on and off the field!
