Dan Smith’s movement and finishing reminds me a lot of Danny Harris - very happy he’s staying on next season

Fantastic news that Dan is staying on this season, hopefully if he can stay injury free then the goals will be flowing.

As for the Danny Harris comparison I think Dan Smith wins a lot more in the air than Danny Harris and probably scores a lot more
1 on 1’s .

But basic play & general finishing is similar.

Smith = heavy duty alkaline Dan whereas Harris = super long life lithium Danny.

He had spells with Margate and Hemel in the National League South and has now signed to play for Ben again at Dartford, despite interest from Step 1 and Step 2 clubs. He is from Dartford and has lived here all his life.

Looks like he’s a player that Ben knows very well and has experiance at a higher level.

Says he’s a centre back but can also play right back or defensive midfield.

Ben is definitely not sitting on his hands.

Hopefully we’ll hear some news very soon regarding players that have been spoken to and offered new terms from last seasons team.

Good that Ben isn’t hanging around though and is making new signings straight away and the news is released straight away as well.
Previous seasons we’ve had to wait ages before any details and signings got released.

Good to see Ben building from the back. That should be centre half’s done now, onto more midfielders and attackers.

Ben seems to be faster on the block, at this time, than previous head coaches. Well done so far. Keep going.

Ramsgate have a player signing update at 1pm hopefully it isn’t one of our “must keeps” who haven’t signed yet ! Would love to see a few of them show up here soon as re-signing.

It’s Dave Winfield who we had on loan for a few games, signed from Hornchurch.
