Carshalton Athletic v Dartford Sat 4 Apr 2026

Another tactical master class from Pennock.
Changes a team that won 7-0 last week, we go 2-1 up and he messes around with it again.

We score two goals in six minutes and we’re right on top with Carshalton not knowing what to do to repel us. Then with 20 minutes left we inexplicably sat on the slim lead with everyone sitting deep. Even st dead balls we left not a single player on the halfway line and made it easy for them. The equaliser was inevitable. Very poor game management.

It is bizarre how AP had such a good first season with us and this season has been so inconsistent, we have gone backwards not forwards as a team , I have never disagreed with team selection as much as I have done this season , not sure we deserve to go up but u never know , obviously we have to beat Chatham Monday , could we please start with Box and Eddie up front and Vaughan on the wing ...go on AP !!!!

The post match interview is horrendous. Looks like he was out of the ground before half the fans had left

Actually kermo, he messed around and put Rowan on who then put us 2-1 up. Shame we couldn't hang on to the lead but then we came from a goal down.
Maybe we went wrong by sitting deep instead of going for the jugular..
Rowan has pace and I agree he should start against Chatham but as said Eddie has been ill last week and probably won't start.

I've been proven right that we're not good enough
Mark, I have offered to meet you several times, I’ll do what I like and there’s nothing you can do about it. If you want to PM me, we could happily meet up privately and discuss. I’ve offered to meet you at games and all I’ve had is silence. So keyboard warrior, I will say what I like, obviously without foul language or any threatening behaviour of course, and there’s jot you’re going to do about it, other than hide behind a keyboard. The offer is there big boy, come and have a grown up adult discussion if you like, or if not I’ll keep using your name whenever I like and you’ll do nothing will you. Perhaps while you’re on your keyboard see what other will smith quotes you can come up with. As you’re a troll I will continue to mention you whenever I choose to. You want me to stop then you know what to do.
Plenty on here will probably criticise me for engaging with you, and they’re probably right and fair if they do.

A really poor Season overall, Performances so inconsistent from Game to Game, especially against the lower sides, really cannot see us getting out of this league and back to the National South in the very near future. For Dartford not to make even the playoffs in this League is a real slide down the Pyramid.

Caught a big one there didn't I
Why would I meet up, everyone including yourself on here has made it clear they don't like me or my opinions despite them being proven factual as the time went on.

After today’s result and looking at Chatham and Brentwood remaining games almost certainly means we must get maximum points from last four games to reach the playoffs. Anything less and no chance.
No point in Ade extolling the fans to make noise next week. Play well and score goals and the noise will come naturally. It’s up to you Ade to pick the correct starting 11 to give us the best chance.

The main members of the crowd have been singled out by the club and made to feel not welcome.
No youth = No noise.

38 games into the season and Ade is saying ' we need to learn from that'. A tad late Ade and with probably our hardest game of the season coming up you are asking a lot from the players, supporters and the like.
I shall be there, hopefully to see us win as we will be throwing our last dice. I still think that Chichester are going to have a say as well.

Isn’t it about time he learned from his own mistakes this season?
Talks about not having a leader on the pitch, this is the man who made Micheal captain and a goalkeeper as his vice.
Olly the one who is constantly dropped whilst Callum gets 90 minutes every week because he runs.
Not once this season can I remember Ady coming out and saying he got it wrong, it’s always the players fault.

So disappointing but I am not surprised.
Imho we are an above average team in this league and will probably finish around 7th or 8th.
We have top class facilities, but imho we haven't look like a serious promotion team since we were relegated from the conference south.
Top 8 yes but simply we do not enough quality to get
out of this Ryman league.

Agree, I think unfortunately there are a few, certainly not the majority, but a few who are quite happy that we just have a team to watch every week and nothing more. Whatever league that’s in. IMO.

Another disappointing result in a game we could have won.
First half was pretty even witout either side looking that good but we found oursleves down at HT thanks to another goal we conceded on the counter attack. That's happened too many times in recent games.
The conversation amongst a few Darts fans during the interval was that we only had to improve slightly and we could easily get a result and this we did starting the second half well and on the front foot. The pressure told and we got in front and at that stage they looked very vunerable. We should have pressed on and killed the game off but we didnt and again dropped back and let them come at us, another bad habit.
At 2-1 up everyone who had took the very generous HT 6-1 odds on a Darts win cashed out and i think this was because you could sense another goal was coming, either from their pressure or us on a counter atack. However if you don't leave anybody up when defending corners etc. and sit back and try to hold on you are asking for trouble.
It's still possible we can get in the play-offs but the games are disappeaing fast so we are going to have to go out and win our games and hope others slip up.
MOTM - No idea........
Very frustrating times as in the right circumstances i believe the players are more than capable of making the play offs.
