Re: Lewes v Dartford Sat 6 Dec 2025
With their match called off Tuesday night and rain coming in this evening and overnight, this match is increasingly looking iffy.
If it does go ahead, it will be on very heavy ground. If it doesn't their will be some extra training for match fitness for the Folkestone game the following week.

There’s a pitch inspection being held at 10:30am tomorrow morning.

Yes mate and with the amount of rain to follow I wouldn’t be to surprised if it’s off.Park Life wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 6:32 pmYes mate, no surprise really after their midweek game was called off.......The 5th Searcher wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 6:14 pm There’s a pitch inspection being held at 10:30am tomorrow morning.

If our game is called off today and people still want their football fix, Halls Afc are at home to Rochester United at Princes Park. They’ve already passed an early pitch inspection and it’s free entry for Dartford FC season ticket holders (as far as i’m aware). If not it’s £5 for adults, concessions pay what they can.

Rochester are top of the SCEFL First division. Played 13 won 12, drawn 1, lost 0. They have scored 37 and only conceded 5. They are having a good season, although they have let their top scorer leave to join Whitstable. Better than sitting at home or going Xmas shopping !

See you all there, but not in the ground before kick off.
Local pub for us as i'm not gonna spend a penny there to pay for plastic cups i don't want (with no refund) and not very good food.
How this place is supposed to be one of the most popular places to visit is beyond me........

Re: Lewes v Dartford Sat 6 Dec 2025
When we played this fixture last season their pitch was rock hard and the ball spent most of the time in the air. Maybe a heavy pitch will suit us better this time around. Lewes have a decent manager but their style of play will provide us with opportunities if we can press them. COYD
Re: Lewes v Dartford Sat 6 Dec 2025
Think the USP is probably the scenery (we’re not on holiday), the funky viewing huts (we’re not at the beach) and the local brew (couldn’t find a decent one to fill the non-refundable cups).Park Life wrote: Sat Dec 06, 2025 11:10 am See you all there, but not in the ground before kick off.

See you in the King’s Head
Re: Lewes v Dartford Sat 6 Dec 2025
I think the pitch may have a big influence on the game today. Hopefully we can adapt to conditions and secure another three points on the road. It will set us up nicely for the big match next weekend.
Good luck Darts.

Absolutely crying out for a clinical striker.

Re: Lewes v Dartford Sat 6 Dec 2025
Not sure that’s the problem today tbh. We haven’t created many clear cut chances for a clinical striker to put away
It might be the pitch but it’s our passing that’s been off today. I feel we’ve caused more problems with balls over the top (not sure about some of those offsides)
Defensively we seem okay but Lewes look like they can nick a goal at any point with those balls to the back post
