DARTFORD v EBBSFLEET South East Regional Premier League

Post by Ajaxman DFC »

Due to Saltdean having to fulfill their FA Cup fixture, our ladies are without a game this weekend. Ebbsfleet aren't playing either. Are we missing a trick here? Or has the pitch been booked out again?

As I understand it, we have tried to get a game organised for this date but to no avail.

It's Dartford FC's operation's fault for f__ ing up in the first place.

It's also disconcerting to note there is an indirect precedent here. Last season Ebbsfleet's home game versus Sutton United was postponed at short notice. The fixture was due to be played 1st September. There was still almost the entire season remaining. Ample time to rearrange the match. However, Ebbsfleet were eventually awarded a walkover. The points adjustments can be seen for both clubs on the final league table on the L&SERL website.
Not that there was much sympathy for Sutton. And Blair Hamilton hasn't played competitively for a women's football team since. The eventual common sense ruling issued by The Supreme Court also prevented me from receiving a visit from a couple of heavily armed social workers, in preference to tackling knife crime.
