I understand that Dukes’s family have been invited to attend Saturdays game by the club and have agreed. What a great gesture by the club and I will be trying desperately to get there in time from holiday.

Always made a point of chatting with Dave, Trevor and Matt, over the years following our beloved Darts, still remember the banter on the forum too. We all bought Puredfc polo's and met each other all those years ago, those days of collections and auctions which helped in a way keep the club going. Missed but never forgotten Dukey, The Don, Last Dictator and I send condolences to all especially Helen and the family. Another Darts legend fan passes, R.I.P.

It was very sad to hear of Dave's passing. I knew of him, but never directly spoke with him.
He did amuse me with his spellings of Odaudu and I changed the forum to use his 3 spellings to the correct name.

Thanks 5th. I will try to get down from Derbyshire but work may restrict me.

I always appreciated the occasional chat with Dave because of my Norwich links too and my boys who football wise grew up on the PP terraces were gutted to hear the news too - they always loved his big hat RIP fella

It would be great if you can make it Paul I’m sure his family would appreciate it but fully understand due to the distance & work.

A message from The Dukes wife Helen:

Just a note for those coming tomorrow to celebrate Dave’s life at Princes Park from 12pm, the dress code is casual as he would have wanted it to be.

Hope to see a few of you there.

A big thankyou to all the fans that attended The Dukes celebration at Princes Park along with his friends and relatives.
Helen and the family did him proud with a tab behind the bar and an excellent buffet of food for everyone
We even had song sheets on each table for Mr Tambourine Man his favourite song and we got to use them when with Adrian on guitar we all sang along
Let's hope we can celebrate tomorrow with a win for him
