That could be the most important 3 points gained in the season, come April! The win puts us right up there in the mix now., and no Manager of the Month hoodoo either!
Delighted to have had Will back today on the microphone too. Thanks, and as usual an excellent description of the game, highlighting the unfathomable decisions of the referee.
Well done Darts. Hope the injuries to Samir and George are not too serious and are available for selectoon for the game next week against Billericay.
Congratulations to Adey and the staff too.

Can't make next week as I am away

Re: Wingate & Finchley Sat 18 Jan 2025
Not sure we can appeal as it was a 2nd yellow.Grassbank wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 5:21 pm Congratulations to the team on yet another hard fought victory. It sounds as though this might be the second time a Dartford player has been shown a red card incorrectly this season. If the case, hopefully any appeal will be successful.
Nothing much changes in the league as the top half all won, except Dover.
Next week should be an interesting match.

Excellent win, the run just keeps on going.
Another joke of an official it seems, unfortunately that's more common than not nowadays though.
Huge game next week, hopefully a big crowd to go with it
I know Samir came off for an injury (hopefully not serious), does anyone know if George was also taken off injured?

Many happy refills Rick. You deserve it.
Re: Wingate & Finchley Sat 18 Jan 2025
Just as serious, IMHO, might be the lack of both left and right wing/fullbacks, dependant on the wellbeing of Sam Oduardo. Sam Okiye will, for sure, miss the game.PeteSamson wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 5:23 pm That could be the most important 3 points gained in the season, come April! Started the first half really well and were much the better team for the first 20-25 minutes playing some good football and deservedly took a two good lead. We then seemed to take our foot off the gas and let them back into the game but we deserved to go in at HT ahead.
I wasn't certain why Okoye was sent off early in the second half but the general opinion was for time wasting and ridiculously harsh as someone on their bench was up to a bit of skullduggery standing right next to him. This made it very difficult second half especially when the ref ignored a blatant penalty for us to potentially go 3-1 up. Jones got clear in the penalty area but their number 3 pushed him in the back straight into their keeper causing them to clash heads. Stone wall pen for me and should have been second yellow for their number 3 but the ref, who had a clear view gave them the free kick and initially looked like he was going to book Jones as well!! However the lads battled on and although they had a couple disallowed, both looked correct decisions.
In view of the circumstances it felt like a massive win today and credit to the lads for getting the result in difficult circumstances.
Another good turn out from the Darts fans, only negative on the whole day was £7.50 for a bleeding small Hot Dog

MOTM a real tough one and will have a think on it as it felt like a real team performance today.

Took a couple of videos yesterday - one of a corner which was immediately cleared and another as we were attacking along the right but came to nothing. Just shows what an excellent job KST does. This club is full of good people doing good things. C’mon you Darts.

Absolutely fantastic result.
We went two up deservedly but soon after we made the game difficult for ourselves by conceding a goal before half time. Had we gone in 2-0 I very much doubt the second half would have been nothing more than a cakewalk
I felt for the last 20 minutes or so of the first half there was a huge gap between between Olly and culum and the rest of the team. The midfield seemed to have retreated into the back line and every clearance from deep landed to a wing ate player so thier goal became inevitable
The sending off was unfortunate to see the least but the game instantly changed and it was a backs to the wall performance
Every substitution Ady made suited the circumstances and his shouting and instructions from the side was top class and very professional
We got through the game so absolutely well done to the squad and coaching staff
I just hope Samir and George will be fit for next weekend
After long consideration I voted Calum motm due to his willing and selfless running which was needed badly in the circumstances

Great Victory considering what went against us,
The sending off not sure if we can appeal it as second yellow but if we had a video off it could be worth sending in to the league, because as I saw it someone from W&F bench came out to stop Sam taking the throw and if done deliberately it is cheating and should be looked at and maybe something done about it.
As for the ref and linesman how they saw as Sam wasting time is beyond me,
Then again the push on Callum for a stonewall penalty how they saw that as foul against us is again beyond, not sure if I dreamt it did the ref take the linesman away and had a word with him where the players tunnel was?
Big game next week 3 points behind Billericay with a game in hand it would be a great game to win need a big crowd behind us
