Looking at it, the black side doesn't reach the top of the shoulder. Looks awkward, odd. But we're stuck with it.
It'll get us through another season .
First impressions , So, so.

I much prefer it to last seasons kit. Let's hope it can bring some luck to the season ahead!

2 years running we have had poor kits, bring back the plain white tops! Stop playing around with it!
Re: New home shirt 23/24
I liked last seasons shirt and like this one more although I agree with Lars Resort that the black should go over the shoulder
I always thought the old white top was very boring

Yep. Black should go all the way and the back should be halved too. Once again, a seemingly rushed design without much thought. Next year with be Brizzle Rovers style ‘quarters’ and after that probably all black! Eventually we’ll be back to white shirts with black trim and black shorts. Don’t affect me much, stopped buying shirts when advertising started. (Should give fans the option of ‘no-add’ shirts.) Nice idea - just could’ve been soooo much better.

This is only a guess but perhaps the amount of black used is restricted to avoid clashing with referees.Sleightly Deceptive wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 7:34 pm Yep. I liked last season's shirt - one of my favourites. This one is OK I think and harks back to old shirts to some degree as it matches the Club crest. Glad the back is not halved as it plays havoc with numbering - especially double digit shirt numbers.
My all time favourite was the black sash back in the 70s - didn't like the FAT final kit that had a wide black band down the front of the shirt and shorts I seem to recall (recollections are not always accurate).

I have to agree, a nice idea, but a very poor design finish..... yet againSleightly Deceptive wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 7:34 pm Yep. Black should go all the way and the back should be halved too. Personally l don't have an issue with non plain white shirts, as long as we stick with black and white themes.
I don't know what the club's deal is with Puma, I also hate buying advert printed shirts, but sometimes the contract means all replica shirts must have the advertising on them. Shame really

Any word on what our away kit is this season or are we sticking with the purple strip?
