Playing in the Princes Park Stadium, this was a new and exciting experience for a few of the Darts players who had not played on the hallowed PP turf before.

It was 26 mins before Darts had a real shot at goal when Beatrice was sent free on the right. Strong running from her gave the defenders a bit of a scare but they managed to ferry her away from a real threatening range and angle and although managed to get a shot in it had power but was just off target.

On 29 minutes a good corner from Emily Woodhouse was delivered into the 6-yard box and was met by Aimee Ascott whose header was goal-bound until the goalie pulled off a brilliant reaction save to palm it over the bar.

On 36 minutes Parkwood showed that they were up for battling for all the points from this encounter and a shot on the half-volley just went wide.
In the second half – after two minutes Parkwood again sounded the alarm bells for Darts but a goal-bound shot was saved by Lauren Owen but six minutes later Darts took the lead.

Dartford were having a good period of attacking play and a shot rebounded out and fell nicely for Chloe Hall to fire it straight back on the half-volley and it rifled into the top left-hand corner with the goalie well beaten.

On 62 minutes Lauren had to pull out all the stops to keep out a shot from Parkwood but the rebound fell nicely into the path of their forward following up who scored easily equalising the score-line

Annie received a short corner from Emily on the right and delivered an exquisite cross that found Bea who leapt to head the ball goalwards only to see it strike the underside of the bar come down a yard or so in front of the goal line before being booted clear.

Ten minutes from the end Lauren kept the Darts in the game with another fine save, this time from a corner deep inside the 6-yard box and Lauren was able to stop Parkside scoring with a point-blank save.

Just in short bursts, Darts hit the form of earlier in the season, getting numbers into the box, put Parkwood were certainly no pushovers and a draw was a good result on chances made.

Note: Many of the first team players made their way into the ground due to their game with Saltdean being abandoned in the 2nd half due to a serious injury to former-Dart, Amy Green. We wish her well in her recovery.
