Re: The relegation battle thread 2024

A few people have suggested in various threads the hope of a reprieve if we finish in the top relegation spot. I'm not so sure I hold the same hope. Of course staying up in our own right would be best, but I do think that if we finish in the bottom four - which is looking increasingly likely - we'd...

Re: The relegation battle thread 2024

We shall never surrender! Ha, I wish. We can only hope this sparks some urgency into our players. We are going down ffs! Will be there next season either way, but as others have said, there are not many players in the current squad that will be hungry to stay and get us back up, nor will we miss see...

Re: News from around the National League South

Good result for them, another nail in our coffin though as another team pulls away from the bottom.

Looks like we will be lucky if we can grab the last relegation spot, and be hoping for a reprieve of some sort.

Re: Dartford v Eastbourne Borough Mon 1 Apr 2024

Unusually, I have just watched the highlights. I believe that the challenge that put Block out of the match would normally have been worthy of a yellow card, but this ref and the linesman saw nothing wrong with it and no free kick was given. They also both saw nothing wrong with the blatent handbal...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZN7futC_dE Poor bloke, it must have been a very uncomfortable interview for all involved. Sorry but that face does not lie. The further into the interview the more obvious it became. He has got to tow the line, but with comments like it's everything at the moment, a...

Re: The state of Dartford football club

Looking back to 2019/2020 season where King turned around previous misfortunes. He was appointed in October, with plenty of time to have a chance. This time around, Ade had only ten games and at the wrong end of the season to recruit. Seems to me, most fans felt like our 2nd place finish last season...

The battle has seemingly started without us. Looking for Maidstone to beat Taunton tomorrow and Turo to beat Hemel to help our survival Thursday

Re: Havant & Waterlooville v Dartford Sat 6 Apr 2024

Have made plans to go to this one, if the football is a let down at least I can drown my sorrows after the game without having to travel back same day.

We live in hope of 3 points, but notice they beat aveley away from home yesterday.

Re: John Stevens Home Player of the Year voting

Possibly the most pointless vote in recent seasons. I assume Luke C will have been up there with most votes. Hard to get excited about the last home game, let alone for the award ceremony after the final whistle blows and our fate is known.

Re: Dartford v Eastbourne Borough Mon 1 Apr 2024

If only we had put in the same amount of effort at the start of the game we may have stood a chance. Up until the last 20 mins of normal play we were woeful, inept going forwards and seemingly not a clue what the game plan is. Movement was painful to watch. There are a few players still putting in a...

Re: Chelmsford City v Dartford Fri 29 Mar 2024

I left it too late as I got caught up at the tunnel. Turned around when I didn't expect to get there before half time. Commentary is hard listening, I would imagine it's harder for those who made the journey.

Re: Dartford Players of The Past

Completely understand the frustration. But in reality it's just a distraction that needs not concern us, we just need to focus on getting points on the board and see what happens.

Hope we are fired up for it tomorrow

Re: Chelmsford City v Dartford Fri 29 Mar 2024

We have to take the positives from the previous games and somehow turn it into a win, against a club that will be laughing all the way to 90 minutes at our plight. 3 points seems impossible, but let's go in numbers and hope and pray for something out of the game.

Well done to all the fans that made the effort to get down and support the team. Seems like we have stopped the rot at the back but need to find it our shooting boots. Onto Chelmsford Friday, where if ever we needed a bit of luck, now's the time please

Re: Dartford v Hemel Hempstead Town Sat 23 Mar 2024

Not much to say really , two poor sides not playing very well . What was important for me is we did not lose today, not that I think a point is enough bur I did not want to lose to the man who put us in the shit in the first place Our goal https://youtu.be/ipuyWC67xIo?si=Zt9zjir2nRFDxrFG That is a ...

Re: Dartford v Hemel Hempstead Town Sat 23 Mar 2024

It's going to be interesting to see who gets the nod. All three newbies will be straight in id expect, but all of a sudden there seems to be options, especially after some of the players giving a good account of themselves midweek. A reason to be optimistic about the games remaining. Hopefully there...

Sounds like a good night for us despite being on the wrong end at the end.

Thanks to PL for the unofficial, official commentator

On to Saturday where we need to be at it from start to finish to get 3 points,
