Re: Dartford v Worthing Tue 9 Apr 2024

I think it’s very common knowledge that Danny scopes was first choice and was offered the job but turned it down. Pennock was available from the day dowson was sacked, you don’t wait 7 weeks to appoint him if he’s your number 1 target. Makes it even more laughable he's been given a 2 year contract ...

Re: The state of Dartford football club

We have to change our recruitment policy. Fundamentally that is what has cost us this season, poor quality signings from pre season and relying on loans is not sustainable. We've also not got out of the revolving door policy we've had since Steve King, I don't think we used as many players as King b...

Re: Dartford v Worthing Tue 9 Apr 2024

Now onto the match itself I don't think the performance was THAT good, but then from what we have seen this season the bar was very low. The effort was clearly there but the quality just wasn't. Worthing played it around us, patiently passing and moving the ball quickly and using their width to thei...

Re: Dartford v Worthing Tue 9 Apr 2024

Nembhard a disgrace as well. At fault for the 2nd goal and almost a 3rd, and he has the cheek to almost walk straight down the tunnel without clapping the fans. If it wasn't for verbal shouted his way he would have been gone. He was still the first one down the tunnel Get him out of the club In fact...

I was at the game as I have been most home matches. I've said this before I dont travel away so tend to have the forum open

The clubs going down the toilet and my name is the first thing you mention when we go behind. Wow.

That's that. The faint bit of Hope we had lasted all of 3 days.

Re: Dartford v Worthing Tue 9 Apr 2024

The more I look at the table the clearer it becomes that this is a must win, and even that won't be enough should we fail to back it up in our remaining 2 games.

It's going to be a very tough ask, I just hope the players are up for it

Re: News from around the National League South

Torquay 2-0 up against Truro, don't think that's a good result for us to be honest Of all the straws we’re desperately trying to grasp, I’m not sure it matters the outcome of this one. Truro are under more pressure to win all of their games in such a short space of time. I think Torquay have the be...

Bloody huge win, they say it's the hope that kills you and after Monday I had none, today they've given me the slightest.

A shame Eastbourne won, hopefully Welling hold on against Torquay and they could get dragged into this

All over them first half and concede early 2nd half.

Lack of quality costing us once again. Story of our season.

Re: News from around the National League South

The National League have instructed Taunton to play tonight's game against Maidstone at Gloucester's stadium. I think it would be safe to assume Taunton failed their planned pitch inspection and have no choice but to follow the leagues orders to ensure they get their games done. https://twitter.com/...

Re: The state of Dartford football club

After reading Mark Sweets post the result Is..... A STRONG , ALMOST CERTAIN CHANCE OF RELEGATION. What I witnessed on Monday against. Eastbourne was a shambles and a bunch of losers.who imo were beaten before they went on to the pitch. .... Sorry if I am missing something but what has my post got t...

Re: The state of Dartford football club

Pre season we lost Carruthers to Chelmsford because they were willing to pay more. A key creative outlet in the team from last season. OK he might have been asking for silly money, we can let one slide. However for me the alarm bells started ringing when Tom Bonner signed for Havant. A club legend w...

Re: Dartford v Eastbourne Borough Mon 1 Apr 2024

All of Ady's signings have been underwhelming and simply not good enough. I dont believe he should even be in the dugout next season in the Isthmian. But then again I don't trust the board to recruit a suitable replacement anyway. Did I read somewhere he has been given a 2 year contract? So we will ...

Re: Dartford v Eastbourne Borough Mon 1 Apr 2024

As frustrating as it is, gamesmanship is part of the game and if we were smart enough to use it we wouldn't have thrown away as many leads/points as we did in the first half of the season.

Re: Dartford v Eastbourne Borough Mon 1 Apr 2024

How much abuse will I get for this post I wonder. How anyone can have an ounce of positivity left in them after what I saw today I don't know. That could have been 5-0 we got lucky it was only 2. Absolutely woeful. Never looked like scoring and MOST of the players simply do not care and aren't good...
