Re: Steve King

He had these ideas on making the club professional or at least how he thought that worked. This involved withdrawing any social interaction between the players and supporters, not allowing players to enter the bar after the game. Simply driving a wedge in the club. For someone like me with 50 years...

Re: Steve King

I'm still gobsmacked that SK has gone but I do trust our excellent board to make the correct call, in the best interests of our great club. I have known some of these guys for over 40 years and they would not have come to this decision without good reason. For them to come to this decision, in such...

Re: Steve King

Very suprised at the news though it's pretty clear that Kingy ruffled quite a few feathers at the club and l wasn't really sure why he seemed to out of his way to do so on occasions. Perhaps there there was yet another disagreement which proved to be the straw that broke the camel's back for the boa...

Re: This may annoy some

I'm glad it's not just me! I have felt quite bad this season having lost my DFC mojo and I'm really not sure why. I've only used my season ticket six times l think and not been present since December. After the oustanding start to the season, both in results and performances, l just haven't been enj...

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Mon 18 Apr 2022

A lot of interesting views being expressed after this match, and I think a lot of it is down to frustrations the fans are feeling, especially after the scorching start we had in the the first 10 games. There's no doubt we have had our fair share of injuries over the season, but then, so have other ...

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Mon 18 Apr 2022

I know how the cultures of 2 ball games went in opposite directions; Ones played by Brits who understand passion & bring it into their game. And the other is played by Yanks who just bring a wheelbarrow of popcorn, hot dogs & a bucket full of Coke to theirs!! Not sure about that M1S.... wha...

Re: Chippenham v Dartford Sat 12 Mar 2022

It's so frustrating that our performances can vary so much form week to week but we are about where i thought we would be in the table but with just a little more consistency we could be in a much better position. I agree Steve, but it's hardly suprising given the number of players we've used this ...

Re: Chippenham v Dartford Sat 12 Mar 2022

Obviously a disappointing result today but I can see no reason [ even with our inconsistant performances] that we will not make the play ofs although I fear not with a home tie . My concern is that " the revolving door policy " does not breed togetherness as players must be continually lo...

Re: Player news

How come we have an academy lad who is good enough for Fulham but not getting an outing with the first team? are we spending too much time looking at loan players without considering our own? Perhaps our manager does not take our Academy set up very seriously in terms of bringing new young players ...

Re: Fa Trophy 5th round Needham Market v Dartford Sat 12 Feb 2022

We have every right to be frustrated, but let's not overreact like some people on twitter. We're 7 points behind Dorking with a game in hand and we still have Dorking and Maidstone to come to Princes Park. There's plenty of time left in this season to make sure it's not a failure and we need to sup...

Good old Noor. Another nail in Dover's self-inflicted coffin!

I still can't believe he went to Southend though. Sleeping giants? Comotose small timers more like. Surely better full time opportunities were just around the corner for him?

Re: Player news

Whatever the order, I'm very disappointed to see Ronnie leave. The only product of our academy (I think) in the first team for a while now and his loyalty to the club has been commendable over the years. I feel he has been very unfortunate to be overlooked on so many occasions and despite that, he h...

Maidstone lost again and have slid further down the table. That will be us in a few games if we keep this up.
Yes it's a real worry isn't it... supporting a top of the table club! 😂😂😂

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round Draw: Dartford v Hythe Town Sat 18 Sep 2021

Like Spike says, with this squad we have a real opportunity for a decent cup run this season. I expect Kingy to play a few of the lads who have not had as much game time so far, but playing Craig King, Tyrique Hyde, Connor Essam, Luke Allen, George Porter and Ronnie Vint (fitness permitting) hardly ...
