Re: Torquay Utd v Dartford Sat 9 Mar 2024
You're probably right, Dartford aren't in a financial mess like Taunton, Torquay and others. However unlike Dartford they have don't have the benefit of a 'free' stadium built at local tax payers expense, being able to play matches in a stadium 'rent-free' and also not having the financial benefit ...

Re: New Manager.
Not too sure about this one honestly. I hope to be wrong but this is underwhelming for me. Gillingham fans don't seem to rate him What a surprise, you're not happy The majority from what I've seen are dissatisfied with this. Not just me so put your agenda away Really? I haven't heard any negative c...

Well, it's a point, but judging by Will's commentary, an abysmal performance from the Referee?

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Town Tue 13 Feb 2024
I agree with Parky, it's important we don't go over the top, particularly with personal criticism at this time. Last night, the first 25 minutes were the best l'd seen this season (OK, it was only my 5th game of the season ☺️☺️). We played with purpose, enthusiasm and energy. Perhaps the missed chan...

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Town Tue 13 Feb 2024
Performances have been better in the last few weeks and we've deserved more than we've got so hoping tonight we will get some reward for our recent efforts. It's also been enjoyable again and I now look forward to the games as we've played some decent stuff and you can see the players are giving it...

The man is utterly deluded; everyone is at fault except him!!!
If anyone had even the slightest doubt that it was right to get rid of him, then this will certainly convince them!

Re: Farnborough v Dartford Sat 3 Feb 2024
Big big trouble. The squad isn't good enough, changing the manager has clearly not had the effect we needed it to have. No fight from this team listening to the commentary. We're relying on moments of magic from individuals, there's absolutely no goals in the attack. Sacking a manager a month ago a...

Re: Dartford v Weymouth Sat 27 Jan 2024
Obviously we still have the same squad from the Dowson era and whereas we now have a respected albeit caretaker manager, I am coming up because the club and these same players need our support. Sometimes I couldn't drag myself up to watch what I call, inconsistent, almost robotic football. But I do...

Re: Weston-super-Mare v Dartford Sat 6 Jan 2024
The trouble is that I can't see how the club can afford to pay off Dowse if they were to sack him. The club is run as a tight ship financially and Dowse (and no doubt him management team) is in a 2 year contract. So love him, hate him or even if you are totally ambivalent he won't be going anywhere...

Totally agreeSpike wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 6:54 pm No disrespect to the lad, he may well be a fine player, but it's just another loan deal and only for a handful of games, many of which are highly likely to be postponed. It's not a solution, it's not even progress, it's just another sticking plaster. We are not building anything,

Re: Dartford Players of The Past
Just watched the Braintree Manager post match comments today and to say he is delighted that Baris is back is an understatement and immediately made him Captain and started todays game , just shows that Dowse's talent in recruiting poor players is on par with his ability to release quality ones , w...

I'm really not accustomed to being on this side of the fence, but I can't help feeling that Dowse is having a detrimental effect on our club. It's just constant whinging and whining and excuse after excuse about the budget, plastic pitches, injuries, referees, bad luck and now the latest nonsense i...
