Noooooo! Please someone say it’s not so!
Hardly a surprise. Bonner tweeted that he was the best man he’s ever worked for when dowse was sacked.
Clearly have a good relationship.
Makes perfect sense for Hemel too.

Re: Truro City v Dartford Tue 26 Mar 2024

Nothing like talking the team up COYD'S Got home at 2am and after a few hours sleep I’m still struggling to find a positive in last night. The conditions would have been a huge factor but we just seemed to be going through the motions all night. Nobody wanted to get hold of the game or run through ...

Re: Truro City v Dartford Tue 26 Mar 2024

If this is a team fighting for survival then put the white flags up now. Woeful,no other word for it. The new lad up top is miles off what’s needed, and as for coulson. Not really a team, is it? A group of individuals - some that have been here for a while, some of which have got a few games under ...

Awful conditions with the intensity of a pre season friendly.
Lots of possession but nothing being made of it.
Coulson miles off the pace once again.

Re: Braintree Town v Dartford Tue 12 Mar 2024

The lads tried again but in all honesty we just weren't good enough. One shot past the post first half but not a single shot on target all evening. Ady will wake up this morning and realise the enormity of the job he has on his hands. He can shuffle the pack but he's still left with the same cards....

Not having Olly in the squad for the last two games is beyond baffling. Easily in with a shout of being our most consistent player over the last 4 weeks.

Will take that.
Credit where it’s due, if Pennock is able to bring in players of his quality to replace some of the dead wood then long may it continue.

Obviously wish him well, but have to be honest and say how disappointing an appointment this is.
Not managed in the UK for a long time and comes across as a bit of a panic appointment.

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Town Tue 13 Feb 2024

I understand it's a forum and people can say what they want, but taking into account the situation we're currently in does anybody think criticising individual players at this time will help? I don't and if we want to have the best chance of staying up i believe we need to get behind ALL the player...

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Town Tue 13 Feb 2024

Square pegs in round holes again tonight. Massively lacking a centre half who can defend and a forward who can score. Wall was abysmal again and ended up blocking a goal bound shot as his main contribution in the opposition box. Injuries to block and Sam tonight too, unless we get some bodies in Sat...

Re: Truro City v Dartford Tue 16 Jan 2024 - POSTPONED

Back in my hotel room, some 30 miles from the ground ... Still fuming at Truro FC, but NOT the referee who is blameless in my opinion because, had the pitch been inspected this game would almost certainly have been called off this morning. I spoke to a Plymouth Parkway supporter in the bar and he c...

Re: Harvey Bradbury

Hopefully someone will shed some light on this. Has it been coming for a while, ie another player that couldn't work under Douse and was looking for a way out sharpish, or a knee reaction to his departure? I know where my money would be. Could be another reason altogether, but far to big a turnover...

No great loss. More yellows than goals.
Imagine the stick Dowse would be getting for this though if he was still around.
Free’s up some money to hopefully get a different type of forward in

Re: Alan Dowson sacked

Massive shame it’s had to go this way. Dowse cannot be faulted for trying to get the club back to where it should be. Some of that squad and players he showed faith in need to have a long hard look at themselves, will be interesting to see how many of the “injured” lot suddenly find some fitness. Re...

Re: Maidstone v Dartford Tue 9 Jan 2024

A nothing game which could have gone either way. Maidstone were poor but ultimately took their chances. If miller Rodney scores his chance at 1-0 it’s a different game. Sam man of the match by a country mile. The system doesn’t suit Alexander, feel he played his best football for us when he had a pa...

Re: Weston-super-Mare v Dartford Sat 6 Jan 2024

Well my first game since Taunton away. I was expecting a much more boring afternoon of attritional football than I got. I enjoyed the game and was surprised to see Dartford playing it around quite a bit. Weston started strongly and should have taken the lead when they had a golden chance that bounc...

Re: Player news

Chin has been injured for the majority of the season so doing an initial month makes perfect sense. Didn't know he'd been injured most of the season so how does that make perfect sense for us? We'll have to wait and see what happens but if he goes back after a month Diarra may follow shortly after ...

Re: Player news

Richard Chin did well for us before and should improve things, looks a good signing. However another loan and only for a month, we're not building a team and this is one of the reasons i have such a disconnect with the playing side of things atm. 36 players signed before December and we're supposed...
