Re: Dartford v Braintree Town Tue 21 Nov 2023

It lasted 36 minutes before Havant conceded.

Re: Dartford v Braintree Town Tue 21 Nov 2023

Not a single goal in the league fixtures yet, twenty-six minutes in. That is unusual.

Re: Dartford v Braintree Town Tue 21 Nov 2023

I fear that the suspensions could cost us tonight. Discipline appears to be a bit of an issue.

Hoping for a result to move us over halfway.

Come on you DARTS!

Re: Tom Bonner

I understand that Tom received his marching orders late in the game tonight. Havant recorded a 1 - 4 defeat, so they are still bottom.

Re: Dartford v Havant and Waterlooville Sat 21 Oct 2023

I do not think I have ever seen such a poor Waterlooville side. Almost as if they were just going through the motions. There was no passion and no desire on show. Dartford we good, but not great. The goals were well taken. There were times when our delivery into the box was threatening, but there wa...

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round - Dartford v Welling Sat 16 Sep 2023

Two very poor sides playing out a match that Welling just about deserved to win. 0-0 would probably have been the right score, except for their third goal which was real football. Slick passiong on the deck and good movement. Other than that, Welling were much better at playing the referee. We had f...

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round - Dartford v Welling Sat 16 Sep 2023

I am able to get to the ground this weekend for what will only be my second game of the season. It is the FA Cup and I still dream that one day I may see the Darts beat a league team. I get the feeling that it is unlikely to be this season, but you never know. I will be there on Saturday and will be...

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round - Dartford v Welling Sat 16 Sep 2023

It will be interesting to see if we can field a full team and bench for this match. I am assuming that some, if not all of the loan players, will not be playing in this match. I fear that there will be a huge amount riding on the result of this match. At least we do not face the ignomy of losing to ...

Re: Dartford v Dover Mon 28 Aug 2023

Finally made it to a match this season. Not a great match and not helped by some poor decisions by the man in the middle. We looked soilid and our keeper was hardly troubled. The Dover keeper made a couple of very good saves and the crossbar saved them on one occasion. At times we took one pass too ...

Sipping a Phoenix beer and watching the sun begin to dip towards the horizon, but my thoughts are with you all this afternoon. Hoping that we can chalk up our first victory so that we do not drop too far off the pace setters at this early stage of the season.

Come on you Darts!

Good luck to the Lionesses on Sunday and also to our Dartford Ladies. Dream big ladies. I think ladies football is taking great strides and is setting a fine example.

Re: News from around the National League South

No surprise that Oxford are winning. Our defence coped comfortably with St Albans last week. They had two shots on target. The goal from the corner and a shot from outside the box that bounced twice before it reached our keeper. We had more than three good chances in the first half. At the end of th...

Re: Dartford v St Albans City Sun 7 May 2023 @ 12.30

St. Albans carried no goal threat for 120 minutes. Dan was a virtual spectator. We had numerous chances and half chances, but failed to take them. I feel we gave it our all, but it was not quite enough. Losing Chin in the first half had a big impact on the match. We fall in the play-offs yet again. ...

Re: Dartford v St Albans City Sun 7 May 2023 @ 12.30

Hoping that we can be the twelfth man today. We know that it is easier to be noisy away from home than in your own ground. We have to buck that trend today. Lets be behind the Darts from the off. We expect the players to give everything today. They have every right to expect that from us. Come on yo...

Re: Dartford v St Albans City Sat 22 Apr 2023

Great achievement today. What a way to come back after a difficult Thursday evening in Essex. Next week is a free hit, but it would be good to develop the winning habit. We then have two home matches to win to achieve promotion. Full credit to Dowse and the back-room team as well as the players that...

Re: Dartford v St Albans City Sat 22 Apr 2023

We need to find a way to win the ball in midfield rather than watch opponents run or pass past us with ease. Our final third of the pitch is under threat far too often in most matches. By the law of averages, teams will likely score some of the chances they create.

Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Thu 20 April 2023

Very clear from the footage of their third goal that 18 had hold of Connor's shirt, thus pulling him off balance. It was just one of numerous occasions during the evening that Dartford players had their shirts held or received shoves in the back. The ref was consistent, he did not penalise Concord o...

Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Thu 20 April 2023

Hard to know where to start. Great turnout by the fans, but not sure where the team bus went. Darts very slow to start and deservedly fell behind. We improved slightly and quickly became more than a match for our opponents and it was no great surprise when we took the lead. Once ahead, we appeared t...

Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Thu 20 April 2023

Hoping that the lousy crossings under and over The Thames are not their regular grid-locked selves on Thursday. As I will be missing the St Albans match, it would be good to urge our players on to victory on Thursday night.

Come on you DARTS!

Re: Tonbridge Angels v Dartford Sat 15 Apr 2023

Great result by the team today. They played two matches more than Tonbridge over the Easter break and would have been running on empty before the end of this match. Add to that the results from our main rivals and a win was a necessity today. This was the hardest match on paper and no doubt on the p...
