Re: Dartford v Maidstone Utd Sat 16 Mar 2024
Stumpy my friend. In my small humble opinion you are very welcome here but as I alluded to earlier, and Parky has reinforced, this IS a fans’ forum mate. And, “who is he?” Well, he’s a DFC fan for half a century and, kinda, has a ‘qualified authority’ to speak with ‘expert opinion’ based on what he ...

Ha. Someone on here once described Wall as a “runaway sideboard.” Problem with that is that a runaway sideboard is going to get off the ground occasionally.tommytollbooth wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 8:23 am Greenidge reminds me of Wall except he's not as mobile. I believe some of the Tonbridge faithful called him the sideboard.

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Utd Sat 16 Mar 2024
Don’t stress over it Stumpy. Lots of emotion today. Billy wasn’t the problem today and hasn’t been THE problem. Collectively? Yes, he’s part of it. But singularly, many other players need to hang their heads before Billy. Keepers will only be remembered for mistakes or penalty shoot out glory. Sadl...

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Utd Sat 16 Mar 2024
Not sure why Billy is being singled out. I wasn’t there today so can’t comment on his red card. But that’s the risk being a keeper innit? I’ve seen Billy being quite useful more than the opposite. The problem is, how the f*ck we allowed Dan Wilks to ‘walk away’. He was one of the best keepers I’ve s...

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Utd Sat 16 Mar 2024
A Question how many times since we were Relegated from the Top League, have we reached the Play Offs ? Looking at my website which no one looks at: 2014-2015 - Relegated back to NLS 2015-2016 - 8th in NLS 2016-2017 - Play offs 2017-2018 - Play offs 2018-2019 - Finished 10th in NLS. Last 8 games. 5 ...

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Utd Sat 16 Mar 2024
Missed the game but it sounded like Torquay all over again. Listened to Will on Mixlr and he sounded so depressed - it was as though he’d just been sentenced to death!! Had to turn him off as the razor blades were in reaching distance. Running out of options now. Be glad when this season is a long d...

Re: News from around the National League South
So Torquay dealt with. Will Taunton follow? Hate to see clubs in trouble but we may be in another Hereford/Salisbury situation that saves our skin. Not that we deserve it.

Re: Braintree Town v Dartford Tue 12 Mar 2024
I think we have to accept it and face the stark reality that is the Isthmian League. Sad to say that this squad isn’t even good enough for that! A month ago I was confident of avoiding the drop. Now, I can’t see where we are going to get any points. Boxgate just pisses me off even further.

Re: Braintree Town v Dartford Tue 12 Mar 2024
JFC!!!! Our only bright light is left in the dark and Wall is on the bench!! Bloody f*cking hell DFC!! Will someone please tell us meagre fee-paying fans just what is going on? I do my best to remain positive but you make it so, so, f*cking difficult! Yeah - behind the scenes and that - but come on!!

Re: Last 10 games
Our last 5 home games in the NLS for me and I damned if I will be attending the HH game as I couldn't put up with seeing that guy again at PP. I can't bear the fact that he could get a long awaited win, such is the mess he left our club in. Hopefully by then he may have a similar mess at HH by then...

Re: Last 10 games
I was optimistic a few weeks ago but watching that yesterday was kinda typical. I also think we may only be saved by off field shenanigans. We need a bit of luck with these chances we are creating before we crumble and hope those below are less fortunate. But I’m having difficulty ‘seeing’ it.

Re: Torquay Utd v Dartford Sat 9 Mar 2024
I’m not quite ‘getting’ the Board criticism. Unless I’m absolutely missing something. They appear to me to be doing a bloody good job. The Club is healthy. Ok, a shit season and we know where the blame for that lies. But weren’t we all kinda happy with the Board’s decision to appoint Dowson? Ok, I w...

Re: Torquay Utd v Dartford Sat 9 Mar 2024
I cannot believe fans are not blaming the board . They let the rot under Dowse set in till it was untreatable, then the main man took charge and was hopeless ( yet still was worshipped by a few) then employ someone with ten games to go to keep us up. Dartford is a fantastic club , are these the peo...

If we keep this up we won’t need to worry about the others. Promising. We’ve been far the better side.

Playing well. Should be in front. Good attacking stuff!
