Re: The state of Dartford football club

Its dead easy to effect change on the board - buy yourself some shares, convince your mates to do the same, demand an emergency general shareholders meeting and put forward a motion to sack the board and get yourself elected as chairman.

Re: The state of Dartford football club

How will we afford a paid CEO? We lost over £70k last year and wouldn't get much change out of £100k to employ anyone worth having.

Re: Dartford v Worthing Tue 9 Apr 2024

A lot has been said about our failings and individual errors tonight with little consideration of the opposition. Worthing are sitting high in the playoff positions for a reason - they are well organised, skillfull and move the ball around quickly and with purpose. They always had at least one guy s...

Re: Havant & Waterlooville v Dartford Sat 6 Apr 2024

Glad we're starting with Wall rather than Greengage - neither can run much but at least Wall knows how to shoot when he gets a chance.
Good luck lads.

Re: Dartford v Eastbourne Borough Mon 1 Apr 2024

Oh dear, yet another bad day at the office and another game we got what we deserved ie nothing. The Gods don't shine on those at the bottom of the league and we lost two of our most effective players far too early in the game. Given 2 forced substitutions, we didn't have much room for tactical chang...

Re: RIP Dave Skinner

So sorry to hear this sad news.
Dave used to make cameo appearances for a youth club football team I ran in Horton Kirby when we were both younger men.
Rest in peace Dave, wherever you maybe.

Re: Change of admission 20/03/2024

Given the number of yoof at the last 2 Maidstone games I thought the rule had been relaxed already.

Re: Kent Senior Cup semi-final Dartford v Maidstone Tue 19 Mar 2024

Proud of the lads tonight they put in a first class shift all over the pitch. Ade must be well chuffed - if he can get that sort of performance on a regular basis we will get ourselves out of trouble. Maidstone lucky again tonight getting a very iffy penalty. Looking forward with more confidence aft...

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Utd Sat 16 Mar 2024

Interesting that a number of 'the youth'' turned up yesterday, positioning themselves where they could cause most mischief methinks.
Those that call for a more ambitious approach from the board should be pleased - maybe if we segregated all games the youth would become a regular feature?

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Utd Sat 16 Mar 2024

It's pretty much all been said but in the first half we came so close to scoring I thought it might be our day. I see a team working hard and really putting in a shift but we need a.bit of luck or extra quality to turn the good play we achieve into goals. If and when that happens we may see a team t...

Re: Dartford Players of The Past

I have a copy of recently published Tommy Sampson's biography - From The Den to Wembley - if anyone would like it. Not a bad read.
I can bring it to the next home game.

Re: News from around the National League South

Todays results went quite well for us - Dover, Eastbourne and Taunton losing and Welling only getting a draw.
If they all continue like that we should be OK!
