Re: Lewes v Dartford Sat 6 Dec 2025

I think the pitch may have a big influence on the game today. Hopefully we can adapt to conditions and secure another three points on the road. It will set us up nicely for the big match next weekend.

Good luck Darts.

Re: Isthmian Premier League News

With the results tonight, there is only one team in the league that has not won a match in their last five - Dulwich Hamlet.

Re: Dartford v Dulwich Hamlet Sat 29 Nov 2025

The highlights show how the game changed towards the end with all the action being around our penalty box. The defence did well today.

Re: Dartford v Dulwich Hamlet Sat 29 Nov 2025

Great result from the team today. In spells, Dulwich could not cope with us but prevented us from scoring with some very good defensive blocks and more than the occasional shirt pull. In the second half the onslaught was constant, until we began the substitution process. I do not know why this was ...

Re: Dartford v Dulwich Hamlet Sat 29 Nov 2025

Hoping for a positive performance from whoever is available from the squad this afternoon. Injuries are frustrating, suspensions bloody annoying. It would be nice to go the whole match without a card as we managed a few weeks ago during a home match. I doubt that will happen, but it would be nice to ...

Re: Whitehawk v Dartford Tue 25 Nov 2025

The red card situation is becoming ridiculous. Either we are a 'marked team' and refs are too quick to reach for the ultimate sanction against us, or we have no understanding of how the refs have been told to apply the rules during league matches this season. Both scenario are a major cause for ...

Re: FA CUP 2nd ROUND v KEYNSHAM TOWN (Tier 4)

For those that did not make the trip to Princes Park at lunch time today, you missed a corker.

Keynsham Town are a level higher than Dartford in the league structure and they were strong in the challenge, quick up front and confident in their own ability. However, in Dartford, they met their match ...

Re: DARTFORD v BRENTFORD South East Regional Premier League Sun 16th Nov, Ko 1pm Princes Park

I had hoped to watch this match but unfortunately my plans were changed on Sunday morning.

In view of the fantastic result that the ladies team achieved against Brentford, I am disappoinmted that there has not been a single post congratulating them on beating one of their major promotion rivals. We ...

Re: Dartford v Chichester City Sat 15 Nov 2025

Not the greatest of spectacles, but a well-deserved win against a team that had a large amount of possession but that offered very little in the final third of the pitch.

Our first goal was a very well taken opportunity, one-on-one with the keeper. This was to become a feature of the match as we ...

Re: Dartford v Chichester City Sat 15 Nov 2025

I hope that we can put the disappointment of the last two matches behind us and focus on returning to winning ways today. I would like to see players run at opponents a little more often, forcing the defenders to make challenges. It has worked well for teams playing against us recently.

Re: Billericay Town v Dartford Tue 11 Nov 2025

I hope that we did not pick up a second red card after the final whistle. Red cards during the match are proving to be a big problem this seaason. Sometimes they are due to poor decisions by refs and sometimes due to poor decisions by players. There is no explanation for a red card after the game ...

Re: Dartford v Wingate & Finchley Sat 8 Nov 2025

Disappointing performance today. Our opponents looked sharper and were happy to run at defenders. Their first goal was well worked and the second was a gift from a poor defensive header that was not even contested. We made a very weak challenge as the header came down and our opponent just ran at ...

Re: Dartford v Wingate & Finchley Sat 8 Nov 2025

This match brings up a personal milestone for me. 1,000 competitive matches. I appreciate that many around me on Saturday afternoon will have seen many more matches than I have, but nice to achieve, all the same. For the record, this will be the 742nd home match and I have witnessed 476 victories ...

Re: Dartford v Welling Sat 1 Nov 2025

We were slow out of the box and Welling threw everything at the first half. Thery were never going to have the fitness to repeat their constant tight press in the second half. We did not play particularly badly in that first half, but we were constantly hustled and had little time to settle. However ...

Re: Dartford v Welling Sat 1 Nov 2025

I have to admit that I am disappointed that this match has just become an early winter Saturday fixture rather than a Christmas, New Year or Easter special. I guess that the fixtures are computer chosen and that distance pairing overrides local interests and history. Boxing Day away to Chatham ...

Re: FA Cup, 1st round v Forest Green Rovers

My first match watching Dartford ladies and I have to say that it will not be my last. Having got over the shock of how young the teams looked (are we really that old?), we settled down to watch the match from the seats.

It was a joy to watch a match where talented players were able to entertain ...

Back again this weekend and looking forward to seeing the 'new look' team further to the recent additions. Victory today will put us back in the mix at the right end of the table. Come on you Darts!
