Re: The state of Dartford football club

Should we expect some sort of announcement from the club regarding our relegation? Personally I would expect something apart from thanking the fans for attending despite the poor season we have had, so fans can buy into next season - the sooner the better IMO Ha ha! Fifteen days late with that one ...

Re: News from around the National League South

It’s equally important to retain the supporters we do have as well as attracting new ones. Any early signs of a further slump and we’ll quickly be down to 600 for home games. I’ll still be one of the 600 (sorry a few of you 😉) but many will seek their footie pleasure fix elsewhere. That’s the nature...

I eventually got through. They said, “not another Dartford fan ffs!” And hung up! I learned, later, from an insider that some of the ‘Sams’ had called their own colleagues in despair!

Re: Dartford v Worthing Tue 9 Apr 2024

There’s not many out of the whole squad I’d keep. In fact I’d go as far as to say they’re not even good enough for next season in the IPL. What a disaster. Gotta get it right in the summer Ade and team.

How long have we been facing ‘must win’ games though? I reckon we’ve won only one of them. The fat lady won’t be there tonight but she might be on the coach to Yeovil.

Torquay 2-0 up against Truro, don't think that's a good result for us to be honest Of all the straws we’re desperately trying to grasp, I’m not sure it matters the outcome of this one. Truro are under more pressure to win all of their games in such a short space of time. I think Torquay have the be...

Surely ground grading requirements should include the sodding playing surface and the likelihood of it completing a season? If you build on a clay pit, what do you expect?

Well, if we go down, which is a stronger certainty than an Essex nurse, then we’re coming back up bigger and better. Has to be. If you think about it, if it fails and goes further tits up, then the Board’s position is untenable. And I don’t even want to think about that after what they’ve done and ...

I’m also one of the unimpressed by, first, Ade’s appointment, and second, the dismal performances since. But, we all knew what he was up against in a ‘no-win’ situation. I’m hanging on to the belief that the has a plan for next season when his remit HAS to be, get us back up. If we’re challenging th...
