Good news. A Cup run at last and more prize money. Up the Darts.

Re: FA Cup 2nd qualifying round - Dartford v Leatherhead Sat 14 Sep 2024

Hoping for positive posts please while looking in at the Proctor Cars Stadium for Matlock Town v Workington at the wrong end of the Northerm Prem. No Wembley dreams for these two, but let's hope the Darts can progress and maybe get to 3QR.

Re: Dartford Players of The Past

Just spotted this on the Isthmian news website:- Tilbury's Lewis Manor, who has already become a fan favourite despite only joining the club in the summer, unfortunately picked up a serious injury in midweek, and a fund raising effort has been launched on his behalf. Teammate Lewis Clark has set up ...

Good idea Stu and plenty to choose from. Difficult to argue against the leading choice from our first match.

Re: FA Cup 1st qualifying round - Dartford v Marlow Sat 31 Aug 2024

Thanks Kev for snapping all the goals and sharing them with us - as always. Much appreciated and enjoyed by us distant Darts, although the Marlow defence looked very poor. Also thanks to Park Life for the updates in the absence of a commentary as a non-X user. Nice to look forward to participating i...

Re: Player news

A bit of background about Sam from the Isthmian news website here;- https://www.isthmian.co.uk/articles/a-new-full-back-for-the-darts May be a good test for him at Hitchin, as they are bottom of the SLP Central conceding 13 goals in 4 games. I see he came on as a substitute in Saturday's 0-3 home ga...

Re: FA Cup

The only club in England to have played in every year since the Cup was started in 1871, and who reached the semi-finals in 1881/2 - according to Wikipedia.

Not sure if we've ever played against them.

Re: Player news

A bit more info about the latest new boys here:- https://www.isthmian.co.uk/articles/more-darts Nice to read about some optimism on the forum, and hope to get down from the Peak District for a few games in the coming season. Good luck you Darts! -- Sam Okoye, Matt Kerbey and Mert Apat are new at Dar...

Re: Dartford v Truro City Sat 20 Apr 2024

Probably very unlikely and academic, and not sure we would deserve a reprieve at the expense of fans disappointments elsewhere, but if Truro or another club were thrown out, I wonder if the reprieve would go to the highest 4th from bottom in either league. In the NLN, that's likely to be a team curr...

Re: Havant & Waterlooville v Dartford Sat 6 Apr 2024

It was all starting to sound so depressingly familiar with all the first half chances going begging, then conceding, so quite an unexpected turnaround. Well done lads and must be great joy for the travelling loyal and long suffering fans. A confidence boost for the last few games. First win of the y...

All sounds so familiar from recent games. Chances spurned and conceding just before half time. Rivals winning elsewhere, so lots to do in the second half - we hope!

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town Sat 24 Feb 2024

Nice to be back, and to see some old faces, for first game since moving to Derbyshire in October. However, the game was very average with little atmosphere or excitement. To have not been given a foul (possibly just outside the box), then see Taunton given a penalty straight from the breakaway, seem...

Logging in nervously from lunchtime walk. Hoping it's not deja vue from Tuesday's first half postings. Interesting team selection and our luck must change soon, surely.
And as I was about to post! Come on you Darts.

Re: News from around the National League South

Thanks Pete. Yes, planning a weekend down South with Taunton at home on Feb 24th likely; will be my first match since watching 3 games in Aug/Sep, with some renewed hope. Life's good in the Peak District, and moving here in October seemed a good time to be missing my Darts fix in hindsight, but it w...

Re: News from around the National League South

Things are on the up already under TB's 4th/5th (?) managerial role, without even playing, as we leap up to 15th courtesy of Truro's 1-4 home defeat today. We head them now on goals scored with the same goal difference. A similar result down there on Tuesday would suit just fine, please. With top pr...

Re: FAC 1st round Proper - Dartford v Abingdon Utd

I've not watched the Women's side, nor taken much interest, but surprised to not find any comment or follow-up to their F A Cup game on Sunday, either on our Forum or the main club website (no surprise there!). Had to Google to see that they won 2-0, and are now drawn away to Oxford United's Ladies....
