Re: Pre season friendly Dartford v Charlton - Sat 6th July @ 2pm.
I could only stay for the first half but achieved my aim to check out the new additions in the ground rather than watching the whole match. The Skinners Bar was a treat for me having an early drink and sitting with most of the usual fans that would normally have been in the main bar at our usual rou...

Re: New kit launch
Dave T wrote Agreed, great shirts, and continuing the "traditional" spirit , how about having the shirts numbered 1 to 11 and no squad numbers this year, please?!!! I would like to see this as well and at least I can then remember who is using what number and which position they shou...

Re: Dartford v Worthing Tue 9 Apr 2024
Spike says Well here we are then, 3 games to go and thanks to Saturday's heroic efforts we've given ourselves a chance. Everyone played their part at Havant and if they can do it again tomorrow then I've no doubt we COULD get another win. I keep thinking it's over but we're still in there fighting a...

Re: RIP Dave Skinner
Llamaman says Such sad news, without him (& others of course, especially his Co Chairman Steve Irving) would there be a DFC today? It is my understanding Dave put his home as security to secure the funds to keep The Darts going before things settled with the new ground. Only part of what he did ...

Re: RIP Dave Skinner
So sorry to hear this news as having watched along side him on the terraces then his move to help resurrect and re-create the team after the Watling Street loss shows to me he was MR. DFC and will be missed by the many fans and fellow board members

Re: Torquay Utd v Dartford Sat 9 Mar 2024
Tony H says Biased opinions in favour of the Board - nonesense! I’m not going to comment on the game as I wasnt there, nor did I have the usual excellent commentary to guide my opinions ( but from those that were there, we were very good first half, and awful second!) Back to my point - DFC has to b...

Re: Dartford v Aveley - Tue 27 Feb 2024
Skip wrote On another note it was really good to meet up with many old mates and acquaintances during the evening. Shame it didn’t coincide with Pete Samson’s visit. I’m not sure my appearance contributed to the downward spiral in the club’s season although a couple of posters obviously have a diffe...

Re: Dartford v Aveley - Tue 27 Feb 2024
Skip says I’ve persuaded myself to venture down to PP for this relegation / play off battle. At the beginning of the season most observers would have expected the positions of the respective clubs, at this stage of the season, to be reversed. How wrong were they! I’m reliably informed that performan...

Re: New Manager.
Spike said I think some people are under-selling our club. When I last asked the question, I was reliably informed there were "around 40-50 applicants" for the job and several very experienced and respected names amongst them. (I know some of them because they've been spotted arriving at t...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town Sat 24 Feb 2024
A point sums it up we only had one shot on goal from Wall which tested the keeper otherwise no shots on goal and no near misses and a pretty poor performance other than our goal. The referee very poor with numerous booking and he missed the possible penalty for us and straight from this they break a...

TFW wrote I think that had Alex Wall been in control of the ball and he was denied a goal scoring opportunity it may have been a different outcome but I don't think that was the case. Alex struggles to control himself with all of the bookings and off the ball actions never mind controlling the ball :(

The Duke said That a typical Tony Burman interview , no bullsh~t , just honest , plain speaking about what he wants from the team and above all a " clean slate " , good to have Brandon Barzey back , hope this becomes a weekly feature from Tony ?? Spot on Dave a good honest interview that y...

What a difference with this explanation from Tony with all the relevant information that we need no excuses and the changes appear to be just what most of us wanted.
Of course it also helps to understand in plain English what he is intending to say instead of Geordie lingo rubbish
