Re: Ady Departs

Like a lot of DFC fans I wonder where the Darts are heading?
All I can see is an above average team plodding along in a league until the cows come home.

I have purchased a season ticket for 20 years but like a few others on here I seriously question the ambition of our directors

All I can see is ...

Re: Ady Departs

We have great facilities and with the right management and investment we could really progress.

I don't now the exact dates but we were relegated from the conference premier 10 or so years ago and then relegated from the conference south around 3 years ago ..
We have now stagnated in this Ryman ...

Re: Ady Departs

I Couldn't give a toss about Pennock and his pals leaving. Imho they were pretty average.

I hope that our board can come up with a manager who can give the fans some hope.
we need to get back to the Connie south asap.

But unless we can get more investment I can only see another underachieving ...

Re: Dartford v Cray Valley Paper Mills Sat 25 Apr 2026

End of season dross.
Glad it's over and although I have nothing against Ade, I honestly don't think he will be any loss as far as moving the Darts forward is concerned.

IMHO DFC are just jogging along and without more investment we will probably remain in this ryman league for the foreseeable ...

The best team won, they wanted it more.
Hopefully a New manager will get us promoted.

Re: Ady Departs

I have come across a few regular DFC supporters
on my travels lately.
The one thing that keeps croping up is APATHY.
IT is such a shame but understandable
We have a great set up for this standard of football

But after another season of failure it is no surprise to me that some fans are unhappy ...

Re: Ady Departs

Unless we get some decent financial backing we will just plod along in Ryman league.
Another season like this one and fans will vote with their feet.
It simply ain't good enough!
Our board can surely see that we are in complete
LIMBO!!!

Re: Chichester City v Dartford Sat 18 Apr 2026

To me,we don't seem to be progressing in any way or form.
The powers that be seem quite happy to plod along as an above average team in this Ryman league.
Pennock has made mistakes but just like our previous manager's he has done his best with the budget he has been given.
WE NEED INVESTMENT ...

Re: Chichester City v Dartford Sat 18 Apr 2026

Excellent post parky, one which I completely agree with.
We have no divine right but we should have made the play offs at least

This one man one vote is getting us nowhere

Without decent investment this club will carry on stagnating.

Re: Chichester City v Dartford Sat 18 Apr 2026

Disappointed but not surprised.
We have a reasonable squad but they are not promotion material..imho.

Where do we go from here?
After watching the Darts in the conference premier and the conference south for many years it is my humble opinion that unless there is serious financial backing then we ...

I am not a gambling man but it is looking like another season in this ryman premier.

We have done ok with the squad that we have
but I just don't see us getting out of this league unless there is more investment

Tin hot on ...but that is how I see it!!

Re: Dartford v Chatham Town Mon 6 Apr 2026

I thought that we edged it.
Our lads were very much up for it and Chatham were rocked in the first half.
The 2nd half Chatham came into it a bit more and gave us some problems.

But our lads didn't panic and we were deserved winners in the end.

All we can do is win our remaining 3 games and hope ...

Re: Carshalton Athletic v Dartford Sat 4 Apr 2026

So disappointing but I am not surprised.
Imho we are an above average team in this league and will probably finish around 7th or 8th.

We have top class facilities, but imho we haven't look like a serious promotion team since we were relegated from the conference south.

Top 8 yes but simply we do ...

Re: Folkestone Invicta v Dartford Sat 14 Mar 2026

Better resul than I expected,
A point away to the champions elect is a decent result
Unfortunately we are a bit further behind the last play off place.
Only Dartford can lose to potters bar and then draw at the top of the league
It's a funny old game!!

Re: Wingate & Finchley v Dartford Sat 7 Mar 2026

That Burman squad which included
Bradbrook,. Harris,Hayes ,Burns and Noble was the 2nd best squad that I had the privilege to watch.

The best Dartford team Imho was the one that won the Southern league Premier and reached the FA trophy final at Wembley in 1974

Re: Wingate & Finchley v Dartford Sat 7 Mar 2026

I have also read Rambo's post and I also totally
agree.
DFC are dawdling along and going nowhere.
Excellent facilities and a good set up but the management and this squad of players are average at best.

Re: Wingate & Finchley v Dartford Sat 7 Mar 2026

I have missed 3/4 home games for no other reason than it was cold and I couldn't be asked.

To me we will be a ryman club for quite a while.
There are many ambitious clubs in this .league unfortunately DFC don't seem to be one of them

Investment is the answer otherwise I don't see any progress with ...

Re: Wingate & Finchley v Dartford Sat 7 Mar 2026

Apathy is creeping in ,some supporters not bothering to go anymore.
It is such a shame bit imho we are just plodding along with very little ambition and direction in this Ryman league .

When we got relegated I honestly thought that we would make a quick return to the Connie south but with this ...

Re: Wingate & Finchley v Dartford Sat 7 Mar 2026

Don't know if it's down to our board or Pennock or our tactics or our players or the tea lady but one thing is for sure.....
We are a poor shadow of Burmans conference teams of not that long ago.
While Maidstone ,Ebbsfleet and Dover seem to be doing OK we find ourselves in the Ryman and getting ...
