Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Thu 20 April 2023

It’s not over yet, we still have a seat at the play-off feast, BUT without putting too finer a point on it, do these players have an ounce of desire to string 4 results together? Sadly, I think not and that’s very dissappointing to say the least. We were having a similar conversation on the way hom...

Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Thu 20 April 2023

The one thing we have been good at this season is bouncing back after a defeat. That is a reason why we are still, somehow, in the fight for 2nd. I just hope this defeat doesn't have a worse effect on everyone because it certainly feels like that from a fan perspective. You can tell how much this d...

Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Thu 20 April 2023

Responsibility should be laid firmly at the feet of the players who, imho have been going through the motions this calendar year, particularly the senior players, content to pick up a pay packet each week playing at NLS level. I can’t think of any other reason for our indifferent form and, particula...

Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Thu 20 April 2023

Feel sorry for the fans that made the effort tonight, it seems clear from the comments we didnt impress. We seem to have run out of steam, same thing last season sadly. We are fizzling out, seemingly without a fight. I just hope this result will be a turning point for the team, and we see out the r...

Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Thu 20 April 2023

As if last Thursday was bad enough, tonight? -worse! Frankly, that tonight was a performance bereft of any heart, belief, guts, passion and a will or desire to win with little, and at times, no skill or control. What the hell happened tonight goodness only knows. To lose to a team bottom of the Leag...

Re: Tonbridge Angels v Dartford Sat 15 Apr 2023

A massive win against against a decent side and another shocking example of a homer referee hell-bent on ruining the game wherever he could with some head-scratching decisions particularly relating to yellow card offences. It’s been the one constant this season that refereeing in this league is lau...

Re: Tonbridge Angels v Dartford Sat 15 Apr 2023

An important win and every body happy again. As said, a great away win professionally executed. Important now to follow that up with a win next Thursday. MoM for me was Sam who was superb. Ref - utter garbage! Oh, and a discussion with a Director before the game yesterday confirmed that there is a d...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town - Thu 13 April 2023

It’s probably my use of the word “sadly” that infers I want change, which I don’t. The important bit there was the date (14th May, not April, sorry) the Play-Off Final date (have I got the date right) and potentially the end of this season. Nothing will change before that date.

We go on….

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town - Thu 13 April 2023

Mark/Ozy - I am most certainly NOT suggesting we change the manager. Not sure how you’ve interpreted that from my post!! Dowse MUST be backed and, with a full pre-season to prepare I’m confident we’ll do well next season whether that be in the NL or NLS.

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town - Thu 13 April 2023

I really don’t get the notion put forward by many on here, unless of course you have inside knowledge or a very effective Chrystal ball, that we wouldn’t be in any fit state to compete in the NL next season should we secure promotion this season. Next season, granted, would need to be very different...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town - Thu 13 April 2023

I am aware that if we did go up we would need to strengthen but I honestly believe that (Tin hat time) we would need a Lot of new faces in the team because the National league is very tough especially for part timers travelling long distances etc. No tin hat needed Babylon - I totally agree. There ...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town - Thu 13 April 2023

If ever there was a time for supporters to play a part this is it, let's do all that we can to get behind the lads for our remaining games as we all know we are more than capable of beating any team in this league. That is bang on sir! Now that the dust has settled on last nights debacle (Dowse got...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town - Thu 13 April 2023

Good point Tony H. I forgot about the behind the scenes shit show with the bar being closed because the London City Lionesses were having their meals. And the car park end refreshments booth being closed. What an insult to the travelling Taunton fans. The whole of DFC was a shambles tonight except ...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town - Thu 13 April 2023

I’m sorry but put purely and simply that tonight was a shocker! For a team, playing at home, needing a win to press home the possibility of a 2nd placed finish, losing in the manner that we did was unacceptable. Take nothing away from Taunton, and despite a midweek journey of goodness knows how many...

Re: Dartford v Dover Mon 10 Apr 2023

An important 3 points. Good start then laboured after they’d equalised. We do sadly lack the player that will take the team by the scruff of its neck and drag it out of the obvious stupor after we concede. Second half we looked the most likeliest of the two teams to score and win the game. What a go...

Re: Eastbourne Borough v Dartford Fri 7 Apr 2023

It seems this win one-lose one trend may be with us for the rest of the season. Let’s hope we can string together two consecutive wins in the play-offs then properly build for next season.

Keep the faith!!

Re: Eastbourne Borough v Dartford Fri 7 Apr 2023

I really don’t get it! Such a frustrating season to say the least but still 2nd by way of teams below us monumentally failing to capitalise on our inconsistency. I totally, wholeheartedly, agree with Dowse when he says we lack a leader on the pitch, someone to take the team by the scruff of the neck...

Buzzin’ after that win! Excellent from Chin, Odoadu and my man Wally. Superb hatty and that is the true Alex Wall and what he’s done throughout his career. Utterly brilliant - gets my MoM vote. Back on the rails now after that and onto the real business end of the season. I totally agree with Spike ...
